I’m so angry. I was nicely along in the game, I just logged back from two days of not playing and it starts all the way from the beginning??? I lost all my progress?? Yeah NOPE 👎 I’m NOT starting ALL the way from the beginning. I want a refund. This is BS
I am hooked with the world, puzzles, stories!
Really enjoying this one, it’s really relaxing with a nice ambiance on the scenes. Building little mini challenges are really therapeutic, it’s easy but yet still fun and satisfying which makes it relaxing.
The mixed reality is a nice touch, though it’s a shame the quest 3 doesn’t have the power to run anti aliasing when it’s turned on. As a result, the image quality suffers a bit. Still an awesome feature though if you don’t want to shut everything out.
I loved this. Hooked me immediately. The only thing that's missing is a sandbox and/or sets. I would pay for that. Having a virtual place with all my lego sets.
Update:
I just finished it, (except for the Christmas DLC, I’m saving that for December).
I’ve raised my score to five stars, despite the little glitches. It’s worth every penny.
Original Review:
After less than an hour I was hooked. I’m probably around two hours into the game and it looks like there’s still a ton of stuff to do and little worlds to explore.
The graphics are beautiful and very detailed. The real time shadows add to the atmosphere and the illusion that you have a magical LEGO set floating in your room.
The only reason I can’t give it five stars is because of technical glitches and an odd design choice.
After a new world loads up there a brief period where the image jitters around. In the MR mode the guardian is left on which is immersion breaking. There’s no reason to have the guardian on if you’re looking at your real environment.
I don’t know why they chose to reposition the LEGO world at certain times like when there’s a cut scene or between transitions. It’s a little annoying to have to keep dragging the world back to where you want it.
If they fix the jittering glitch, switch off the guardian in MR mode, and add a way to disable the auto repositioning, then this game will be as close to perfection as possible.
The game levels are like a diorama that you can move and place anywhere in the room, but the game is bugged and the location resets with most interactions. Like a character says something and the whole thing resets the position. Also you can only stand like 3 feet away before it hides the whole game level disappears. Maybe it's some kind of optimization thing to set a limited viewing distance but it makes it awkward to play because you have to be so close to it. I was excited to play with Lego in VR but these issues are very frustrating and makes it an unplayable game.
