Every run carves a new dungeon.
You start in a lava cavern - your camp. Spend what you brought back, step through a gate, and the dungeon builds itself around you. Kill the Warden and a portal opens. Die, and a quarter of your coins stays in the dark.
Three tiers - lava, snow, poison - up to 38 by 38 cells, 152 metres a side, 7 to 29 rooms. Generated from a seed, then checked so the way to the boss and back always works.
Knife, sword, hammer, bow, crossbow. You swing them yourself.
All five wind up before they strike, and they keep closing while they do. Backing off is no answer.
Fourteen things across five stalls: weapons, sharper edges, armour, health, potions, and the way deeper. Armour you can see: it rides on your forearm, a colour per level. Two healing potions on the house every descent.
900 health, three phases, one way out. Four artifacts found in the dark turn a run your way for 45 seconds each; the fifth heals you on the spot.
Snap or smooth turning, vignette, seated play, haptic strength. The camera is never moved for you.
