In Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes, one player is trapped in a virtual room with a ticking time bomb they must defuse. The other players are the “Experts” who must give the instructions to defuse the bomb by deciphering the information found in the Bomb Defusal Manual. But there’s a catch: the Experts can’t see the bomb, so everyone will need to talk it out –fast!

Features:
• Challenging puzzles – Test the limits of your communication skills… and friendships?
• A different bomb every time – Procedurally generated puzzles keep the action fresh.
• Local multiplayer party game – A great way to experience VR with all of your friends!
• Only one copy of the game needed – If you can talk to the bomb Defuser, you can be their Expert. Try using your favorite voice chat service to play remotely.
• Requires 2 or more players – Bomb defusing is a team endeavor. Going solo is not an option!
• Mixed reality supported – See your friends in the lobby as you select missions.

Love it, but want more.

Such a great game, especially with the family. It really encourages team work, good communication, and a willingness to learn how to delegate tasks out for best efficiency. I play this with my 3 kids, ages from elementary school to high school. Mom approves because we all take turns and the kids aren’t inside the headset for more than 5 minutes at a time.

We’re still making our way thru all the levels, but I can already tell I want more. Here’s my wishlist:

1. More modules! Release as a DLC pack and I’m happy to pay more for it. The cost-to-entertainment value is already superb for what you get.

2. Tools! There’s an empty drawer in the virtual desk. Fill it with tools and let us use them. Keeping tools organized, figuring out which to use, accidentally dropping one on floor, etc, will all be amazing adds for the game. Would love some wire cutters for the wire module. Maybe some screwdrivers to take components out. A boroscope to look inside the bomb. A multimeter to check voltages, continuity, etc. Endless opportunities here!

3. Give option for passthrough mode while diffusing the bomb. I get that the virtual room provides the atmosphere and fun distractions, but passthrough for certain players would be much appreciated.

4. As others have mentioned, adjustable height for the table is needed.

5. The first time the timer ran out on me, I had all this anxiety not knowing what to expect, and was then underwhelmed with the explosion. More sound, maybe a flash of light, etc, is needed to really make it a “wow!” moment.

6. through 10. Did I mention more modules? ;)

Already a great game as is. This should be an instant purchase for anyone who likes party games. Just do it.

Great game experience. Some small issues

The overall game experience is great, it is what you get on a regular desktop, plus the immersive and mobile experience with the Quest. The only usability issue I found was that I couldn't adjust the height of the table (or the height of the avatar), so the table was too high if I was sitting on my couch. A workaround was to adjust the floor level on the Quest settings. Some usability improvements would make the game more comfortable to play. Wearing a VR headset is already tiresome enough for most people.

Some suggestions:
* Shortcut to adjust the in-game avatar height or the floor level
* Offer an option to toggle the virtual table off, and have a transparent surface to put the bomb and clock, something that would work on any kind of couch or chair you are sitting or lying on.
* Accessibility mode with zero gravity, so the bomb stays in place if you drop it.

If there is still development bandwidth to drop some extra love into this game, it would be much appreciated.

By the way, very fun game! Highly recommended.

Challenging, Albeit Stressful Party Game

Originally a Steam game, Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes for VR is a perfect translation to VR. It makes defusing bombs a much more tactile experience, and you feel much more immersed in the environment. The MR mode on the quest 3 is a nice addition too, allowing you to see the friends you are playing with. More challenging levels become much more stressful for everyone, especially the person defusing the bomb, but hey, defusing bombs has always been a bit stressful!

Good Party Game

I have this game on steam and it is good fun, but playing it in VR is even better.

Needs friends

Either it needs a multiplayer mode, or needs friends which sucks because no one wants to play with me and I spent $15 on it
