It's ok but...

The Game is good anda funny, it's a scape Game like Granny or similar.
But the Menu it's very bad, sometimes when i want Open a door i grab the gun or bullets accidentally.
Another thing is when you take the bullets accidentally, is imposible put away again. Just you can reload the pistol or left behind the bullets

The IA of the killer can be better.

The locomotion shadows around the eyes is veeeery big and ruins the experience a bit.

I ike the Game but feel it like is not finished.
I hope the developer bring some updates to make it better.

Escape A Serial Killer!

House Of The Butcher is a game where you must solve puzzles in order to escape the serial killer. It takes some critical thinking and finesse to escape! This game is well rounded but do not expect a horror game. While the environment creates a tense and creepy atmosphere, there is no jump scares. The Butcher is a bit of a dummy and is fairly easy to get around as well. The big thing about this game is the use of the environments to create a "saw" type puzzles in which you need to solve before the butcher comes barreling toward you. There is ammo for your gun laid throughout the house and there is plenty of it if you hit all your shots to stun the killer. Overall the game feels pretty good besides a few hiccups I had with the UI when trying to stow bullets but kept grabbing my flashlight. The game also does not have smooth turning but does have smooth locomotion, kind of odd to not have both. The game is worth the download and can be easily beat in about 20 mins or so if you know all the puzzles. It took me about 40 my first playthrough. Give it a try and escape as soon as you can!

Friday the 13th in VR

House of the Butcher is like being in a Friday the 13th or Halloween movie. You know the movies with the unstoppable killer, that is always right behind you. But this time you get to experience in VR. Much more thrilling.

You are trapped in a house with the Butcher, an unstoppable killer like Jason or Michael Myers. The house itself is like an escape room with puzzles to solve, reminds me of the Resident Evil games.

You will have to explore a large interactive house, solve puzzles and avoid the Butcher. Great horror movie vibes from this game.

The game world looks and sound great. The house is has lots to explore and interact with, and the sound track puts you right into a horror movie.

There is good weapon handling, and the combat feels good. You know when you connect with the Butcher. Plus you can throw things at him, its just fun.

The game has some points I did not enjoy. Movement only has snap turning. I got through this with just actually turning, but would like to see smooth turning added. Also when you move around it has blinders, an option to turn this off would be great. Another problem I kept running into was when I tried to grab an item, I would grab my ammo or gun instead. The two circles for them need to be moved closer to the body.

The game did not take me long to complete, but I have replayed it a few times. Doing runs without using weapons, speed runs and so on. I would like to see achievements for this, it would give it more replay value.

Overall I really enjoyed being in a 80s horror movie in VR, the experience was great.

Puzzle horror without the horror

For an escape room puzzle game this is a good title to play. Puzzles are clever and gets u thinking at certain stages.

The game isn't that long and can easily finish under 2 hours.

Its made to think that u are running away from the butcher or shooting the butcher. Well I don't know about that as i never saw him once. So I had a gun for nothing.

It has some spooky elements but I was expecting more from the game.

Realy good

This game reminded me of the first Resident Evil with a mansion. The butcher will constantly try to kill you, but you can deal with him with a little skill. There are enough ammo, although they need to be looked for. But I liked swinging the ax more, real hardcore. I finished the game in 2 hours, I totaly recommend it.
