I downloaded this game on day one. I looked at the reviews, and feel taht i must write my first review ever. I honestly don't know where the negative reviews are coming from. This game is worth the investment. I play other games with attachments, and I would love this option, but for now it keeps everyone on par on the leaderboards. What's wrong with that? I do find the holes annoyingly small compared to the ball size and physics, but this game is worthy of a true 5 star review. I hope the devs are proud and working towards making the hole bigger. Well worth the purchase price, especially if the devs have some ongoing commitment.
Guys: I get maybe these are passion projects, but you have to at least play the game before you release it on the app store. Why are the controls for your watch ON THE HAND the watch is on (please tell me you've worn a watch before). And whose idea was is to have the watch switch hands so easily? Why do you have such a complex system for handling and dropping a ball? Just put the ball in the starting area. There's also tutorial bug -- it literally can't exist past "the golf club will not exist if you're not holding down a button (I don't know why this is)" -- the club won't interact with the ball, button or not. How did you get this close and so so so far. What in the world.
House of Golf VR takes mini golf to a whole new level of immersion, blending charm, challenge, and cutting-edge tech into one unforgettable experience. The courses are bursting with color and creativity, from cozy living rooms to wild, toy-filled tracks, and every putt feels satisfying thanks to the spot-on physics and responsive controls.
But the real game-changer is the Mixed Reality (MR) feature. Being able to transform your own living space into a mini golf course is nothing short of magical. You can line up your shots around your coffee table, bank the ball off your real walls, and watch as the digital and physical worlds merge seamlessly. It’s intuitive, wildly fun, and showcases just how far VR gaming has evolved.
Whether you’re a casual player or a hardcore golf enthusiast, House of Golf VR delivers pure joy, precision gameplay, and endless replay value. It’s not just mini golf, it’s your home turned into the ultimate putting playground.
In short - A visually delightful, technically brilliant, and genuinely groundbreaking MR experience. A must-have for every Meta Quest library.
Would love to see one handed mode as your second hand serves no purpose! Also a better movement method
I really want to like this game. The idea is really great. I will start off by saying the VR mode works well. The only issue I find is the hole size is a hair small. The ball doesn't go in sometimes even inches from the hole. Thats a little frustrating. I may have missed it in the menus, but I'm not sure if one controller can be disabled. Having to hold both is cumbersome. As far as mixed reality mode, for me it's completely unplayable. No matter what I do, the objects don't align with my floor. They are either floating above the floor or below the floor. I wanted to play this exclusively for the mixed reality. In it's current state, its difficult to enjoy considering I can't play the mode I purchased it for. I hope there is a fix or update in the near future to address some of these problems. I gave this 3 stars mainly for it's creative approach and potential.
Many people will buy this game if it supports Amvr golf clubs, just like walkabaut minigolf, the ball physics still leaves something to be desired, and the sounds too. but if it gets these, the 5 stars will rain down! Please add Hungarian subtitles. If it gets all of these, I will change it to 5 stars. But nice work so far!
House of Golfs standout feature is the mixed reality mode, letting you build and play your own mini golf courses anywhere in your home with cranes, conveyor belts, balloons, and hundreds of creative pieces. The VR courses are also fun and nostalgic, with hidden collectibles and playful touches. The ball physics didn't feel as realistic as Walkabout Minigolf to me, nor does it have multiplayer yet, and customization options are limited. Still, if you love the idea of putting a mini golf course in your living room and are up for the challenge of the tournament mode, House of Golf VR brings something genuinely fun and fresh to the Quest.
