One of my favorites

I love getting into flow state during the pistol rounds. It’s a high quality shooting experience.

Paid my money then had support removed..

I bought this game, specifically because it supported the ProtubeVR ForceTube. It was my goto game on the quest 3.
Then after an update support for this expensive device was taken away.

Of course I cannot refund this game after having played it for more than a year.

After being on forums, I can conclusively say that the developers of GunClubVR themselves chose to remove support on the Quest platform (could have stuck with the original ProtubveVR plugin version but erroneously chose not).

Its very bad practice to take away something people paid for without giving the opportunity to get a refund at least.

Also - Quest 3 owners be aware that you cannot offset the controller position for yaw. So you are literally aiming 5 degrees left of where you will shoot when using a pistol. As a workaround rotate the pistol away from the vertical anti clockwise.

Awesome

The game is fun. I play it everyday. Would be even better if there was a multi-player option.

Gun Club VR delivers one of the most enjoyable and immersive firearm simulations available in virtual reality. With an impressive variety of realistic weapons, satisfying gunplay, and a solid progression system, it’s a dream come true for VR shooting enthusiasts.

Positives:
-Weapon Variety & Realism: The game features a wide array of meticulously detailed firearms, from pistols and SMGs to assault rifles and shotguns. Handling and reloading each weapon feels great, and the attention to detail in the models and sound design really enhances immersion.
-Fun and Replayable Gameplay: Whether you’re into target shooting, zombie waves, or tactical challenges, Gun Club VR offers modes for every playstyle. It’s easy to jump into and addictive enough to keep you coming back.
-Great DLCs at a Fair Price: The extra content, including the SWAT, Wild WestDLCs, adds fresh missions and weapons, extending the game’s replayability without breaking the bank.

Areas for Improvement:
-SWAT DLC Map Design Issues: While the SWAT DLC adds a welcome tactical element, some missions place enemies or objectives in awkward locations, especially behind decorative objects. These design choices make it physically difficult to maneuver long rifles, disrupting the otherwise smooth experience.
-Glitch Report – Free Attachments Exploit: There is currently a glitch that allows players to obtain any weapon attachment for free:
1. Aim at the “Cancel Purchase” button.
2. Simultaneously press the trigger and move the analog stick (same hand) to the left.
3. The attachment is unlocked without payment.
While this can be tempting, it undermines the in-game progression system. It would be great to see this addressed in a future patch to maintain game balance.

Conclusion:

Gun Club VR stands out as a must-have for fans of shooting simulators in VR. It’s fun, engaging, and packed with content at a good value. While a few design hiccups and an exploit hold it back from perfection, the overall experience is still excellent. With some fixes and polish, it could easily earn a full five stars.
