When the sun got tired of humans and decided to hide and never rise again, darkness awoke the dead from their graves. Since then, the clash between man and zombie sets the pace of daily life.

Narrated by Colin Farrell, “Gloomy Eyes” is an animated trilogy and emotional tale where fantastical animated dioramas twist and rotate around you.

Chase the nostalgic and heartwarming story of a zombie boy, Gloomy, and a human girl, Nena, that dare to play with love. Their star-crossed love might just be the last seed of hope.

Premiered at Sundance Film Festival (2019), was awarded ‘Best VR experience’ at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival (2019) and winner of the ‘Jury Award for Storytelling’ SXSW (2019).

Very good…

One of the better, and longer VR animated shorts.
I wish there were more of this length and quality.

Great animated 3D story telling

Yep it do not have to be always games in VR this is a great example of a story telling in VR.
best experiencing it standing with some place around you to follow the animation around you and flying up or down its 3D so you can walk around it to see it from another side ;-))

Well-executed Burton-esque story

I was going to give this 4 stars but honestly the end hit hard and made me realise how much I'd forgot about the medium and was just taken in by the story. Narration by Colin Farrell is perfect. The story doesn't make a lick of sense but still ends up drawing you in. Excellent use of spatial scenes and subtle gaze cues (you do need 360). Beautiful diorama sets.

Excellent job all round. Definitely worth a couple of bucks to experience.

Precious

This is not a game in any way. It's an animated adventure that is best watched on a chair/stool that turns 360°. I very much enjoyed.
