I haven't seen an early access game this buggy since the 90's. It should not be so broken that you can't even get out of the first round. It's funny because the game engine is so broken it sometime recognizes the wrong object on you get list. Then it truly becomes a hid and seek which actually was kind of fun.
I am a huge Hidden Object fan and easily 20 percent of my steam library is HOGs. I really hope they you get this right because HOG games are one of my main hopefuls for VR.
Here are 4 things to work on.
1) A tutorial, it's frustrating but they all have it. I was not even aware of the inventory list until I scratched my nose.
2) I guess we are the play testers so, make it easy for us to comment and cheapen the price. And then add another level upon full release
3) The player height is off. I felt like a grade school kid when looking around for stuff. I had to peak over the bathtub? I had to stand on my step platform to get the height right. Think what thrill of the fight does for getting the height right.
4) There are HOGs that do pay to play. But you have to do it right. In those games you can generally play for about 20 minutes before the need to pay for stuff (better gear, longer playtime, game hints etc).
BTW, do you guys want to fail? How could you release a game and not even get the first 10 minutes right? I'll support you because HOGs are one of my favorite games to play. There are really none out there, and I know if you get this right, you will make some money. Please don't quit.
I started this game, went into the menu and then started playing the game. One of the items on the list was a book. I found the book and there was a sound indicating it was the correct item, but it didn't show as crossed out on the list. I then pressed the button to get a clue and it said I had to pay for a clue.
I was going to request a refund, but it said the game is not refundable. I know I didn't play for 20 minutes, as I wasn't able to move any further in the game unless I purchased a clue. I just purchased the game today, so it hasn't been over 14 days ago. So why can't I get a refund?!
Great game but when you try and pick up certain objects it won’t let you. I end up leaving the game.
I spent a hour trying to click on or pick up the book in the classic game. I can not get pass it. Please make it easier to pick up or click on or Hoover over the object to collect it.
I try to walk but it won't go forward half the time. Walks through desks instead of going around. Very frustrating.
The controls are a little janky. It's nothing like the picture that is being shown. There is not very much interaction with anything. It seems like the clock runs out really quick, then once you lose, if you don't have any more coins, you have to buy packs in order to continue on. You start off with bare minimum coins. Once time runs out on whatever level you were on once you return back to the game, it goes to the next level, leaving your previous level unfinished. There's no cabinet doors to open or anything like that. The only thing you have interaction with are the items that you are supposed to find. Even though it was listed under cheap price, you will pay in the long run because you need coins in order to continue.
