VR fighting game delivers!

This game gets constant attention from the developers, there are tournaments, and straight to the point: the game is REALLY good. If you ever touched a fighting game, you owe it to yourself to get this game.

I don't think this game is salvageable

I used to love playing games like Street Fighter, Tekken, and Mortal Kombat, but this attempt to adapt a fighting game for VR is a failure.

I'll give the game credit for its low price, which means you can check it out without burning too much money, and for the fact that the sound effects, especially the announcer, are well done. But that's about it for the positives.

Quite apart from the fact that the gameplay doesn't work particularly well in VR, the fighters have a very unappealing design, as do the arenas, and the technical presentation is also off-putting.

The resolution is the meager standard resolution of the Quest 3, and at 72 fps. With something like the Quest Game Optimizer, you can see that much more is possible in terms of resolution while still maintaining the framerate. For some reason, however, the developer decided against increasing the render target, serving the player a blurry image that doesn't have to be so muddy. And it's not just the resolution that's underwhelming; large parts of the rest of the presentation, including the effects, are as well. [It's clear that mobile SoCs don't have that much power due to limited TDP, etc., BUT they aren't so underpowered that this should be the result.] It looks a bit like it was made for the Quest 1.

Traditionally, fighting games on consoles have often been real eye-candy, visually pushing the limits of what was possible in their console generations. Here in VR, it's the exact opposite (an upscaled Tekken 4 from the PS2 era 24 years ago looks more sophisticated).

Sorry, but I don't think this game is salvageable. The developer, who previously made Synth Riders (which isn't a technical marvel either, but is at least fun due to its gameplay concept), should just move on to a different genre in VR.

Bring Street Fighter in VR? Done ✅

Final Fury is an fun engaging VR fighting game with a concept that’s both easy to grasp and exciting to master. The combat mechanics feel natural and immersive, letting you focus on the thrill of each duel rather than fumbling with controls. It genuinely brought back the same rush I had playing classics like Street Fighter, but with a fresh VR twist. Punch, block, dodge — and feel like you're inside the fight. A must-play for fans of action and competitive games!

Disappointing, almost a button presser

I was hoping for a sporty boxing excercise game but it’s more a button presser even though it claims that it isn’t… the first character you play against just shoots at you over and over and over again which seems a bit unfair and then you need to get close to box, but then when they block you they explode… so you can’t fight close, you can’t find far… swing your arms ever so often and it does a little blob… so then you decide to play the character with the big guns and just shoot over and over again you don’t even need to use your arms. Played about 10 games lost them all, it’s mostly clicking to dash and punching forward and shooting… meh

Great game, needs more characters

Street Fighter X Smash X Tekken

This is a great fighting game built for VR with some traits of each of the fighting games I show above.

I love the mechanics, and the game runs really well, even with using Quest Games Optimizer to bump the graphics. No stutters or lag
to be found.

The presentation is great, and it’s really fun and challenging, especially with the final fight with the unlock-able hidden character.

Hopefully the devs are cooking..

I would like to see these things added.

More characters, more moves for each character, the ability to kick even if it’s a button press, a story mode, more arenas, and a more deep combo system through punching and kicking so the whole game doesn’t typically boil down to spamming projectiles, traps, or throwing.

Still, for $10 it’s worth the cost especially if you have friends who own it that are into the genre.

The best street fighter style game ever

Absolutely great I wish from more characters beacause of oh good it was I might even grow a hobbie of this and maybe even a career game of the year for fighting games
