Great concept, but rough around the edge

This is a good game with the clever mechanic of being able to climb around the map.
-Compared to the original, it offers more diverse environments and an easier way to lure enemies with voice devices/talking.
-The repair device and tranquilizer being built into the wrist is also a good improvement.
-Repair device energy is somewhat finite, which is a good balance. Still, I really didn’t need felt like I was going to run out.
-Weapon controls were also made a bit more realistic. You can now actually change magazines.
-Weapons seem to have a bit more variety in stats, but I rarely felt I needed a specific weapon.
-They also added a different robot unit for a bit more variety.

However, I still think there are some areas where the game falls flat.
- For starters, they removed the adjustable belt/holsters, which was a nice accessibility feature to have.
-Holster hitboxes are still kind of clunky. I would end up grabbing something I didn’t want because how closer everything is. I think a solution would be to either have a back holster for a weapon or the ammo (like Half Life).
-Hitboxes on the weapons themselves are also weird, and I would end up grabbing a magazine when trying to grab the front handle. Pumping the shotgun was also VERY finicky.
-Having a new robot is nice, but it almost felt useless because on some missions it would force you to switch to the first type. Also, having the wrist weapon slot be fixed to the type of robot kind of discouraged my use of the second type. I like the concept, I just think it was underutilized and somewhat unnecessary when considering the other buffs.

Overall, about a 7/10 game. Fun to play through once or twice and then go to the bonus content (the Augmented Reality mode was cool). The formula just needs a bit more refinement. It’s just a short, fun and easy experience all the way through.

Games amazing

I love this game, the reviews are a bit misleading because I haven’t ran into a single bug or problem in this game except for the fact that I may not want to get off of the game. 10/10.

Was kinda cool I guess.

Played for a bit and got to mission 2 the whistleblower and it wouldn't let me progress about half way through. The controls were pretty iffy and no jump button so when climbing I was throwing myself into oblivion until I could get onto a platform. Might go back to it but I dunno.

Thanks for trying out the game so far. Sorry to hear you're stuck in mission 2. We're happy to help here or on our Discord. **Spoiler** Half way through Mission 2, you'll need to locate a SINDER frame. The Sooty frame can't proceed. Eliminate a guard and drag the guard over to the retinal scanner. This will gain access to the whistleblower's suite. Hack the laptop and use your repair tool to download the data from the Yellow orb that floats above the laptop.

Is a good game but too short

Is a good and entertaining game but way too short ,no extra content ,if you want to play single you finish the game in 1 hour

We're glad you tried out Espire 2 and we must say, how on earth did you finish this in 1 hour? There's a Mixed Reality game mode with approx 1-2 hours of content. A VR singleplayer campaign that's around 5-6 hours of content, an Espire Ops 'side mission' mode with 12 missions - that's another 1-2 hours at least. Finally a Co-Op VR Campaign which is around 2 hours long. If you can complete the whole thing within 1 hour, would you like to work as a QA Tester? We'd love to be able to run whole game tests that quickly.

Impressed - until it wiped my progress

UPDATE: Game crashed on startup and wiped 8 hours of progress. It idid this before when I had just started. Once can be forgiven but twice costs it 2 stars on the review. I am not going to start a 3rd time - uninstalled. ORIGINAL: It's a full fat stealth game on Quest. I have not looked at it since launch. I thought it was just gimmicky with the MR modes but I got it on Horizon plus and the game loop is great. Real fun. Big missions that you can take your time doing. Big surprise. Just a solid game

We're extremely sorry to hear that you lost progress. That's a #1 priority issue we'd like to address. We're not aware of any current Savegame issues that are due to the game itself. We've seen some issues with Meta Cloud Sync before. Please note that our game stores a rotating backup of your last 3 session's save games. They're stored on your Quest Headset so you'll need access to a PC or a 3rd party app to access them. These backup saves are included in the Meta Cloud Backup Routine alongside the main save. We will look at adding an in-game menu to swap between backup saves in a situation like this. Again, sincere apologies you've experienced a save game issue like this.

Regards,
Mike from Digital Lode.

Broken and Janky

Good concept, though.
