I Just bought the game 1 hour ago and I finished already there is no coop or online no single player having fun by yourself is just few short mission and that's it !!! End of game to be continued
Definitely enjoyable but it seems to be an introduction to a longer campaign that just doesn't exist. Leaves it off at a bit of a cliffhanger at the end and I doubt they'll be any updates to this version at this point.
Fun for what it is, but not a ton of replayability after you finish the main campaign. I'd certainly recommend it if it's on sale.
Cant say enough about it really. Once you learn to fly and use your rockets, your all set. Bummer there isn't more but according to the developer, he's making a new game that, according to him will be better in every way!
I got this game way back in 2015 on the Gear VR and loved it. After the device was made obsolete I never went back to VR until getting the Quest 3s. Nostalgia got the better of me and had to get it. Unfortunately it wasn't free because I had it already but what are you going to do? $15 is probably a bit steep but with a coupon I got it for $10. And it's worth it. I've noticed better graphics but generally it's the same game. I never got to finish the missions that are available so it will be nice to get them done. The controls work well, gaze to fly is the best option for flight control. It could probably have done with a slightly wider range of weaponry but it's perfectly fine as is. A great space shooter overall and you really feel that you're in the cockpit of a space fighter. I have heard that no new promised missions ever arrived and it ends with "to be continued" but I will wait to see when I get to that point. I do recommend it, particularly if you can get it at a discounted price. It was the best game on the Gear VR and it still holds up very well today, despite being around almost 10 years. I'd love to see the developers, if they're still doing vr games to revisit this and update it with new missions.
I don't see why people are leaving negative reviews. The missions are all unique, and highly replayable. The fact that people are only saying the number of weapons 3 guns. 2 missiles, but not their purpose is quite insulting to the game.
You get:
A machine gun - good at most ranges, good fire rate, moderate damage.
A shotgun - good at close and mid range, slow fire rate, greater damage.
A sniper style weapon - I don't own it, so I cannot speak for it, but considering the way the other weapons work, if I had to hazard a guess, I would say it's amazing at long range, but poor at other ranges, great for singling out targets one by one.
Basic missiles - good for one target at a time, locks fast. Fire and tracks fast.
Swarm missiles - they are slower but leave an explosion for taking swarms out.
These aren't any of the actual weapon names. But you can get a basic idea.
This game is short, yes, but it doesn't need to be too long when you have one of every kind of mission to play. Would I like to see more on the future? Yes. But for 15 bucks and on the Quest 2, I can't ask for more.
This game is like VR Star Fox, except instead of a space furry you play as yourself. So probably a space furry.
This is a fun shoot-'em-up with some simulator pretensions. It looks and sounds great and the look-to-aim mechanic is great. Difficulty is reasonable but far from hard. There are some challenges but, mostly, it's fairly easy to play through, especially once you've upgraded the ship a little.
That's where I hit my issue with it. You can only fly one ship and there aren't nearly enough variations in the weapons and upgrades. Being able to replay any mission at any time is both good and bad. You can replay anything so it doesn't just expire at the end of the story. You can also just stay repeating mission 1 until you've earned enough money to buy all the upgrades then be very hard to beat for the rest of the game.
It's supposed to be getting add-ons and I'm looking forward to them. In the meantime I still enjoy jumping into the cockpit and heading out into this highly immersive experience. Going to give it a go with the gimbals and look-to-aim turned off to make it a bit harder next time. Having to get into line like they do in Star Wars should be more challenging.
