Game looks cute but tho I DO have hands enabled, I cannot get past the hands message and grid of room-I have uninstalled and reinstalled and still won’t play.
Adults will too! But kids would absolutely adore it.
You raise a dragon from an egg to a rather chubby and slightly larger hatchling. You can feed it, clean it and play with it. It takes about a week to fully grow and every two days or so the next developmental cycle happens. Once fully grown you have the option to release the dragon out into the wild or keep it with you.
I was impressed by how good the hand tracking was. It has to be the best I have seen in a mixed reality game! You can also place decor around your irl home like night lights, candles or furniture.
I didn't see any bugs or glitches myself tbh it was a clean run for me.
This game would be perfect as a birthday or Christmas gift for a little one!
Daughter really enjoyed the experience.
Eggy isn’t just a game—it’s a heartfelt journey that unfolds right in your living room. Through clever mixed reality magic, your home transforms into a living, breathing bridge between realms, where a fragile little dragon needs your love and guidance.
From the moment you find the mysterious egg, you’re hooked. The game’s gentle pacing and whimsical aesthetic make raising your dragon feel intimate and personal. The Book of Lore is a clever mechanic, letting you unlock spells, mix elemental teas, and even dance to connect with your dragon in surprisingly emotional ways.
But Eggy isn’t just about cute moments—there’s real weight to your decisions. Every choice, from what you feed your hatchling to how you train it, affects its eventual fate in the Dragon Realm. And yes, saying goodbye is bittersweet. I was a little sad about it, not going to lie. But that’s what makes the journey so powerful.
It’s part Tamagotchi, part fantasy adventure, and fully enchanting. Whether you're a kid or just a kid at heart, Eggy is a must-play for anyone who’s ever dreamed of raising a dragon.
At times there were some tracking issues, but that was from the lack of lighting. If you do come across issues, message the devs! Join their discord.
The written dialog refers to the singular quantity dragon as 'they' when it hatches and first starts out. When the egg hatched, I was at first wondering if I had more than one dragon...until it dawned on me that it was non-binary speak. There is no prompt to select your dragon's gender. Not a deal breaker, but it pulls you out of the experience.
The game itself is a bit buggy, like others are describing, but I haven't run into anything that makes it unplayable. I only felt the interest to play a short while after hatching, but my kids like going through the features of decorating the house with little activities and playing with the dragon and watching it wonder. Activities remind me of a Tamagochi, like giving it a batch, feeding it, playing with it, etc.
It's a fun little tamagachi/virtual pet type game/experience. I didn't get too far into it because as it's been mentioned. The hand tracking is pretty bad. I was in a well lit room with a fresh room scan.
The tutorial subtitles got in the way of the directions on how to something/anything.
It's small little things that add to the frustration..so devs work on that hand tracking. It's not user error as I've seen being suggested by them . Graphics look pretty good. A bit of clipping. Seems fun and life like actions. Just bad controls
