Wow this game is hard! I set it to the easiest difficulty and I'm getting slapped around like I've never played a video game in my life! It's punishing! I know that if I'm able to get the hang of certain specific control techniques it will be better. But it's really complicated. The game emphasizes the need to teleport during combat to evade, but you have to both face the direction you want to jump to, and point the stick in the direction you want to have when you land the teleport. So you can technically teleport behind an enemy and be facing them which is a really cool concept. But the coordination required to do it is like trying to pat your head and rub your tummy simultaneously while under pressure in fast paced combat. It gets insanely chaotic trying to get the hang of the controls and I just die over and over and over.

I'm going to keep trying, but it's hard, so be warned.

Overall, the game doesn't have much depth. I expected a bit more than just waves of enemies that increase in number like a survival mode. I hope it gets better

I just hope the devs will had more onto the game . But this game is almost unique 👌 well done devs .and i do feel the game needs a few up dates like movie ment and throwing the weapons . No speed in the weapons when throne

DTA is an enjoyable VR game that offers a good challenge and an interesting lore. Not only does it have a unique aesthetic that sets it apart from other games, the fact that it was created by a one to two-person dev team makes it even more impressive!

The game features progressive difficulty, a decent tutorial, and a good variety of enemies to fight against. Players can level up incrementally, which improves their stats and makes them better equipped to take on the game's increasingly difficult challenges. TBH this game feels like a trippy fever dream version of classic wave-shooter arcade games I loved as a child and I mean that in the best way. It’s actually quite addictive the more difficult things get because you repeatedly try to top yourself while getting farther up the leaderboards.

DTA has a great soundtrack and well-done voice acting, which helps to create an immersive atmosphere. Players can choose between teleporting or smooth movement, providing flexibility and accommodating different playstyles.
One of the most compelling aspects of DTA is the dedication the game dev has for creating a rich and detailed lore that spans across multiple games and even future comic books. The game's world has secrets, hidden areas, and mysterious creatures that hint at a much larger story for the player to uncover. This suggests that there is a lot more to this world than what is seen in the game, and that players can expect to learn more about the game's expanded lore/universe in the future.

Dream Tango Ascension is a VR game that has clearly been crafted with a lot of love and care. As a passion project, it is unlikely to be abandoned in a year like some other popular VR games. I will give it a 5/5 stars due to my appreciation of the aesthetics, difficulty, and consistent improvements made by a small dev team (got to show 'em some appreciation). If you’re a fan of wave-shooters, astral projection, spirituality, and virtual reality this is the game for you!

This game is BEAUTIFUL!!! I'm so in love with the graphics style.

Little Pallas is so freakin' adorable! I want him.
Gameplay is good. I played on easy and died a few times. Some of the enemies are tricky.
I played for about an hour and only unlocked 4 out of 56 achievements. This game will last a while!

Dream Tango is a unique story driven arena wave shooter that takes place in the cosmos. We are a spirt traveler able to pass through the cosmic realm looking for powerful artifacts. The game has a great cosmic look to the environments, and very unique enemies and bosses. We have a great selection of weapons and powers to fight these enemies and bosses as well. From a cosmic sword, energy beam and energy shield to a blade that looks like something from the Predator movie. Throw these all together with a good story and we have an excellent wave shooter.

The controls are great as well. It has a movement option for everyone. Teleport, smooth locomotion and roomscale. Everyone should feel comfortable playing this title. The combat, both melee and range felt amazing and took no time to master.

The game was challenging and fun, and brings you back for more. If you are into wave shooters with a twist and good story, this is a game you will want to try for sure. Just download the demo and try for yourself, and you will be hooked. Also if you enjoy the demo, now is a great time to buy while its still in early access with a 60% discount.
