You guys made the best game ever. It so fun. But it would be very cool with bruises and blood. But again it’s a very good game. Love it!❤️
I stumbled across this game, having never heard of it. The graphics are beautiful, from the character shadows to the varied epic background scenery. The combat techniques and the control and movement are simple, intuitive and excellently done. It is one of the most underrated games on the Meta Quest, and one of my favorites as an adult player.
I love the DLS and fighter forge and i LOOVE multiplayer
This game is best as multiplayer.
If you want to be in a bruce lee movie, just go to character select and choose billy lee's alt color
If you're looking for something similar to "Thrill of the Fight" -- a game that you can actually do some halfway realistic shadowboxing in -- this game isn't it.
The magic, superpowers, guns, ninja stars, etc. aren't the problem, though. You can live with all that stuff. They're fun. The problem is the mechanics for normal movement.
Collision detection is bad. You'll find your opponents diving inside your body to punch you, like Neo from the Matrix, except that it isn't intentional.
The sticky hands mechanics are so over-emphasized that you can't really throw combinations. And even if your first punch doesn't stick to your opponent's arms, and you actually land a clean shot, half the time it'll go into slow-mo, ruining any follow-up punches and breaking your rhythm. It's a game that will train you to throw in a slow, unnatural way; usually single punches.
Most of the time, if you're trying to box your opponents, you'll be best served just landing mostly with single jabs to the head from long/middle range. The closer you get, the more you'll find your arms glued to your opponent, or the screen suddenly going black when your opponent does...something...magic from a close distance halfway through one of your combinations, which stall or don't land because of the slow motion. The insta-kills also discourage body punching or combination punching, from what I can tell. Opponents have no sense of weight or mass in this. It's like fighting a free-floating pair of fists with an occasional target appearing between them.
Now, to be fair, I played on a higher difficulty setting, and actually am clearing a fair number of the levels. May even try to finish the game because I'm a completionist. But it's not a good game for someone who's looking for anything close to a fighting game rather than an arcade experience. Win or lose, the way you need to move seems more likely to give you really bad habits. It's in no way comparable to gems like Thrill of the Fight, or even a lot of the other top rated boxing games.
