Great Car Physics and Responsiveness

The physics seems to be constantly being improved and worked on. I play Assetto Corsa on my PC and this game on Quest 3 seems to be able to give the same feel in terms of weight transfers when braking, or accelerating, very good driving experience. AI seems to be better too.

Thanks a ton for the flattering review!

?

I really like the game but I will never purchase a Early Access game again very frustrating waiting.

I understand that, it’s as frustrating for the players as it is for our small team. With just one person working full time on the game, that’s the reality unfortunately!

The best racing game on standalone BUTTT

Downtown club has the potential to be the very best racing game on the quest platform. The handling is fantastic and the cars feel realistic once you get the settings right. The bots in this game are awful though. If you can pull ahead to first at the start you might have a chance. However, if you don't have a dramatic lead they will pit maneuver you over and over and over and over and over. Over and over and over and over and over. I'm trying to complete the first races on beginner and I'm struggling because they keep pit maneuvering me. Commuter games I really appreciate you guys and I happily purchased the supporter pack in v speedway but please improve the bots just a little bit.
Edit:
thank you for the reply. I've gotten more used to it but I think the bots should avoid the back of your car better particularly around corners to avoid being spun out.
Thank you for the fantastic game I can't wait for more updates

EDIT: thanks for the update, really appreciated!

ORIGINAL: Hey, we appreciate the feedback and we know opponents need some more tuning, but at Beginner difficulty they are much slower than you and will also wait for you if you crash- once you overtake them, keeping the lead should be very easy. Also make sure you are not closing on them leaving them no space to move- use the mirrors to check your surroundings.

Improvements to opponents are definitely on our todo list so we hope you'll look forward to those!

Very great!

The game itself is very good. Simcade, simple, but functional. However, the game itself has MANY space to be improve. First, the cars are very slow. When you're going 120 km/h, it feels slow. Second, the credits are hard to get. I don't know, I might play wrong or bad, but it is hard to get them. Thirdly, more cars. Anyways, it is recommended. It doesn't mean the future updates won't fix them. Of course updates will! Recommended 10/10. Had fun. EDIT: And F1 cars, or open wheel cars would be EXTREMELY COOL! And of course blow the market. But please, if you consider F1 and open wheel cars, PLEASE make them faster, like 300 km/h! And if you would make them, PLEASE make their steering wheel like how is it today. For instance, you can take inspirations like how Driven did it.+

Thanks for the review! You probably just need to buy one of the faster cars and play at a lower difficulty to get going smoothly! Also, the in-game roadmap shows all the content that we are planning and working on, including F1. We know there are other racing games on the store, but we'd rather develop our own unique game instead of going similar to others. :)
