Arcade Nostalgia... ⭐️⭐️⭐️

If you've been looking for a solid dinosaur shooting game on the Meta Quest, this title might be the best one you'll find right now. The graphics are well-executed and the overall experience is more satisfying than many other dinosaur-themed shooters on the platform, which often suffer from glitchy gameplay and horrible visuals.

However, you need to go into this experience with one key piece of information in mind: this seems like a direct port of an arcade game. And as such, it is designed to take your money.

This arcade DNA is the game's biggest weakness. You'll quickly notice that your shots are sometimes delayed, discounted, or outright ignored, which feels incredibly frustrating. Tiny dinosaurs will sneak in from the very edges of your vision and before they even get within four feet of you, you'll be considered "bitten" and dead. To progress, you have to rely on memorization and repeatedly playing the same levels, because the game's design puts you at a distinct disadvantage.

If you can accept these intentional frustrations as part of the arcade design, you will find the game pleasurable to play for a while. I found myself enjoying a few rounds before the repetition began to kill the fun. The experience becomes more about beating the system's unfair rules than it is about an immersive, natural shooting experience.

Overall, it's a fun distraction that offers better visuals and core gameplay than its competitors. But the frustrating design choices meant to drain your wallet in an arcade setting hold it back on a home platform.

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars.

Unbalanced and repetitive

The game looks allright, but isn't really ballanced. Gunplay needs to be very precise. There's no room for error, which wouldn't be so bad, if you didn't need to memorize the waves of dinosaurs to be succesfull, instead of rely on skill.
And it still feels slow and boring.

Disappointing

Could be a cool game if it gave you ANY settings for difficulty and the dinosaurs didn't damage you from 5-feet away, ESPECIALLY considering you never know where they are coming from until you are already basically/ completely dead from getting 3 surprise hits whilst trying to find out where they are hitting you from!
I'm not even having luck getting past the first level because of this.
The developers do not even care to update the game or tighten it up either, so it's just not worth having/ keeping.

Needs some updating

Okay, this could easily be the best game I have, in my opinion which I would be willing to pay at least twice what I paid for it if not more, if there weren't just some things that are very annoying in which I can't believe they didn't put in there.

1. option to instantly replay a level once you fail instead of having to go back to the main menu every time just to go back to the same level.

2. option to just end a level when you're in the middle of it to either go back to the main menu or to just replay. Once you already know you failed the mission it's stupid to have to sit there and wait for the level to end for you to be able to exit or restart.

3. a practice shooting range that's just a free shooter, not for points, not timed, nothing like that. Just be able to select a specific number of targets that will pop up, stand there and shoot at them, And to be able to practice with different types of weapons That you will eventually be able to use later in the game.

4. Aim calibration. Clearly aiming dead center and yet missing. And yet other targets I'm shooting at the exact same spot and knocking them down instantly. That has to be my biggest complaint. And the aim gets worse if you select the laser.

5. The dinosaurs are killing you before they even fully get to you.

But the graphics are beautiful, for the most part the mechanics are really awesome. Not being able to freely walk is a little strange but done decent enough. With a few changes this would really be an awesome shooter, And I don't think it would require that much for these updates. You're getting your money, yes, but you could be making so much more.
