EXCELLENT RETRO SHOOTER

DAVID is a pure VR arcade shooter: nothing superfluous, just waves to clear with our space weapons.
The gameplay is fast-paced and fluid in levels with a beautiful retro-style atmosphere.
The main ship, controlled by the right hand, and the support drone by the left, add a highly enjoyable shooting intensity to the gameplay.
The linear progression focuses on mastering enemy waves and capturing devastating special weapons and power-ups to reach the next levels.
Visually simple yet effective, it's a blast when your special weapons explode enemy ships.
Ideal for arcade fans or those looking for a fun, no-nonsense experience.
With an excellent soundtrack and top-notch sound effects to quickly get you hooked, this game is a success.

Immersive fights and so much fun

This game is such a hidden gem and so much fun to play. It's relaxing, engaging and challenging at the same time, which is a sweet spot only few games manage to hit.

David is also a wonderful example of how much better VR can be compared mobile, console or desktop games. It's so much immersive to be floating in space with your hands acting as spaceships, so you have to constantly move around to win the game.

I also love that this game was just built by two guys (with clearly a lot of dedication and eye for detail). I hope Meta (and many more players who buy this game) supports this little gem of the VR world.

Enjoyable and Cool

I like it, exciting and difficult to win, its not just a game which you can win from the first round.
One note for the developer, there is a bug, when you loose the game, the left drone continues working, so you can shoot down ships, so you can win the game while its over at the same time, which will make the app unresponsive.

Cool but a little confused

The game is missing a tutorial. How do I use the special weapons? I keep getting hit by things I can't see. I will update later.

Cool!

A nice space shooting game, and a pleasant surprise as I think this is one I will come back to quite regularly (few games have me doing this to date), when I just need to relax by shooting up a few waves of enemy space fighters and battleships! Interesting that the ship movements are controlled by the position of the hand controllers rather than the joystick on the controller… I like having a large and small fighter controlled simultaneously with my right and left arms (multitasking!)
The simple narrative, that unfolds at your pace as you press the trigger, also provides a useful pause between waves too. Music is atmospheric as others have mentioned.
I got this in the Summer Sale for £1.99 which I think is a real bargain. Good job developers!

Wow, thank you so much for this incredibly kind review! It genuinely means a lot to hear that our game has become one you'll 'come back to quite regularly' for some relaxing shooting. That's exactly the vibe we were hoping to create!

Abandoned

The game is original but too difficult even at the normal level (which is my standard). When you get to the boss of the third level it becomes impossible because there is too much to pay attention to. So you are no longer having fun but you are grinding your teeth.

Yes, some of the final bosses are quite challenging. A little tip: Starting at level 3, you can use Time Warp (right controller - grip button). This slow down time and makes it easier to hit the shield satellites. Hope this helps. Otherwise, get in touch with us again.
