Daedalus is a platformer and an exploration game set in a spectacular oneiric and surrealist world.
Daedalus, architect and creator of fantastic mechanical artifacts, was imprisoned by the king Minos to prevent him from sharing his knowledge of Creta’s Labyrinth with others Every night, in his dreams, Daedalus explores the intricate labyrinths aboard his own winged creations, trying to relive every step, each leap, each flight to freedom, attempting to escape his own tragedy.
Help him find the 3 platforms that open the gate of each level and explore the mysterious environments derived from a dream. As the levels progress, the difficulty rises and the architecture grows more and more perplexing. Boost yourself, glide, take advantage of the wind columns, make use of trampolines and activate mechanisms that pour new platforms at your feet to reach your objective. Will Daedalus escape his own prison?

Still being the best
Controls are similar to the Red Matter games, heck the gameplay with how you hover and jump/hop around is quite similar. Soundtrack sounds familiar too. It's a Gear VR port so it's pretty simple, but it's crisp and shiny at least if not very low poly.
Bring on Red Matter 3!
Love the gliding rocket motion.. and instant brakes. So clever, mesmerizing and evocative. A nice change from blasting the hell out of bad guys and zombies. And if you miss the
platform.. it’s an ever so gentle fall into a sea of muck.
Very fun and relaxing at the same time. It's a shame that the game is relatively short. We need a new Daedalus 2 built for the visual quality of Quest 3. That would be a great experience.
It was like walking into abstract art...never got boring as I progressed; it kept changing but was always visually exciting & motivated me to stay active w/it (few games do; I'm not super patient).
I'll be honest I only bought this game to support the developers because I liked red matter 2 so much. It's a simple puzzle game, fun, and it has a pleasant atmosphere. It reminds me of college and greek philosophy and contemplating the mysteries of the universe. How that effect is so strong just from gliding around in the game hopping along platforms I don't understand. Thanks again Vertical Robot. I can't wait to play your next game!
