The time has finally come

I‘ve been playing Cybrid for some time now on steam already, and I kept waiting, hoping this game would finally make it‘s way to meta so it can be played anywhere I can take my headset.

The game is an on rails slasher/shooter that instantly immerses you in its cyberpunk noir aesthetic. You‘re running down dark streets, getting attacked from Hitmen and Cyber-Ninjas, which you can take down in style, with dual katanas or dual guns - you can even go katana+gun. Enemies are always immune to all at attacks but one.
The game‘s art style is really good at letting you laser focus on the action at hand, quickly communicating which attack will take down your opponent.
The soundtrack is on point adding an additional flavor to the cyberpunk theme and immediately making you feel the action. If timed correctly, you will slay your foes to the beat of the tunes.
Most levels have a part where time slows down and gives you the chance to take out multiple enemies before speeding back up - it feels so rewarding, like you‘re living an action movie.
Also, your are not just running in a straight line; sometimes your jumping off a bridge or down a building - and the game somehow does it‘s magic letting you experience these maneuvers without ever invoking a feeling of queasyness.
Considering that Shada Games is a one-man studio, this game is exceptional. And he even wrote the soundtrack for the game.
Everything fits so well together. The game truly deserves every single of it‘s five stars.

A winner

I play this alot on pcvr and thrilled it got on the meta store. Played the demo a decent amount and its really good. I recommend this to anybody who likes rythm games. Only 1 person behind all this made the game the music everything very impressive. Im glad I can now play this on standalone aswell

rhythm game that mixes guns and swords

It feels like playing a mix of Beat Saber and Pistol Whip! The rainy, futuristic city background, which reminds me of Blade Runner, is also very impressive. I can't wait to play the full version:)

Beat Saber or Pistol Whip? Why not both?

After quite some time, Cybrid is finally on Quest. Let's go ;)

Slice and Dice, Pew Pew

Say hello to the love child of two of VR’s best, combining the slicing of Beat Saber with the satisfying shooting and reloading of Pistol Whip. Instead of chopping boring blocks, you’ll take down tron-esque light enemies that demand precise, directional strikes and sharpshooter accuracy. As you progress the stage, you’ll swap seamlessly between pistols and sabers, and it feels as smooth as butter once you get the hang of it. My first run felt like rubbing my belly while patting my head, but it only took minutes to adjust. The soundtrack syncs perfectly with the sleek, cyber-themed visuals for an crazy VR experience. On top of that there are cool and detailed customization options you can set up before starting.
