Ultra realistic

Amazingly realistic physics. This is the best ball machine and practice sim for real tennis I could imagine. Get a racket attachment for your controller and get ready for some awesome fully customizable swing drills and the best ball machine ever. Never have to pick up balls again. I can’t believe a game of this quality doesn’t have a bigger following. This alone makes the entire purchase of a meta quest worth it and is in fact essentially the only thing I use my quest for.

Real Simulation with Real Run

The talent of the coder/designer is apparent at first glance. The user interface and design are clean and functional. The free edition has a lot to offer, and I was still hooked after 2 hours. I was challenged to play online, but I did not feel ready.
I use my own paddle, the jumpy ball can be changed in rebound and string grip settings. This flexibility has immense potential and should be extended.
I practised drills with various grips, ranging from continental to semi-western, and was pleasantly delighted how well it transferred real timing and sensation. However, e-sports drills feel better.
Playing a game is a different story. It is really difficult, even more so than real life. It offers a complete autorun option as well as a joystick option for movement.
I try to run without using the joystick in the portal passthrough mode, a box carved out of VR that allows me to stay aware of my surroundings. But lines and balls become invisible left & right outside the box. When I run forward through the portal, I exit mixed reality and enter full VR. Weird passing into the Twilight Zone, lol. But the court constantly repositions with each serve, making free running risky and unplayable.
The passthrough venue option allows to freely run without a limit. Setting the game to random speed and spin, somehow the rebounds and spins feel exaggerated, frustratingly hard to read and anticipate position. This aspect of the game needs most consideration in updates. Meanwhile I challenge a bot who has no racket with low spins. Give the bot a racket!
The free version is worth the 15€, support this game, even if it has a way to go. I bought it to configure random left to right real run drills, that get me nicely sweating in a full passthrough view, with a full coloured tennis surface beyond the wall of my living room. Amazing! The game deserves a drill video on my YT VR Tennis channel, along with Esport, which freerun is limited guardian size. In 2025, the best 2 VR tennis sims.

Middle of the rank

Definitely playable but needs improvement if it is to catch up to some other titles.

Not for me.

I thought this was too good to be free, but upon starting the game, my avatar was stuck with its arms spread out where I should be standing. This got in my way of my sight a little and is just otherwise distracting out-of-virtual-body experience.. The physics and general movement were good though.
I stopped playing once I seen the pay wall pop up that basically keeps you from doing much of anything at all. I'm not holding that against it, as the devs deserve money for their efforts, I just had my hopes up. 😅
I don't see myself paying for the title as is though, and it may just not be for me.

Not sure what happened to your avatar! There's a new release with many improvements that may fix. Feel free to join our Discord (https://courttimetennis.com/discord) for support!

Like it but….

I’ve been playing this game for a while now and mostly enjoy…however recently there seems to be a glitch….if you hit a lob high it comes down on the bot if you’re close bounces away then the bot spews a ball out….its not right. I only play the practice mode so it’s in the three set match….otherwise it’s good. Lose a star….worth the money though.

Addictive for a lazy person!

Court Time Tennis has a generous, free trial you can’t refuse. CTT was created by a passionate tennis player and sim expert. It has two mixed reality modes for small and large spaces and the best physics of any racquet game I’ve played. It takes you through lots of drills to improve your skills. For someone who hasn’t played IRL tennis since high school (me), this is a great learning game. But it is also good for those who just want to get into the swing of things for a little activity/exercise or are competitive with online multiplayer. And if you enjoy the game, it’s only $14.99 to go pro!
