i love this game so much, endless hours of fun!
The littles and I have a blast with this one. Super super easy to make complex creations, my 5 year old figured it out in minutes, tons of squeals of delight from us all
Now I absolutely love this game, but it’s getting 1 star. It’s getting 1 star because when I creat my roller coaster and save it, and come back to it the roller coaster is always somewhere else in my house. It gets annoying to always fix where everything goes.
Overall, the game is fun and engaging, but I purchased it believing I could ride the roller coasters I created in mixed reality - traveling across my room while enjoying the ride. However, the mixed reality feature only functions during the building phase of the coasters within your space.
Additionally, I encountered an error message stating, "We cannot scan your room setup," which I hope is just a mistake on my end.
I genuinely hope that future updates will allow us to ride the coasters in mixed reality. Just imagine how awesome it would be to experience your room from a miniature perspective while riding the coaster across your own space.
It would also be great to have roller coasters with multiple carts connected to one another, rather than just a single one.
I'm still undecided about whether to request a refund. The game is enjoyable, but it's missing the mixed reality feature I was expecting.
UPDATE: I kept the game because it is fun. I'm excited for future updates.
Great app. One of the best in VR history. Exceptional.
The drops need to have the shtick of real vertigo. The Himalaya level on Coaster Combat VR does this to perfection. I made a mega kamikaze roller coaster which as you can imagine had a doozy of a drop. Riding it, there was the thrill of going over the top of the hill but the descent was underwhelming. Is it that one has to get the track exactly right to get the true vertigo effect? What if even then the vertigo effect, the stomach dropping feeling seen in The Galactic Race on Theatre Elsewhere still wasn't there?
VR is in its early days. This app is to be much applauded.
It has a bug that causes the unlockables you earn not to be saved in sandbox mode, forcing you to repeat the level. Also, sometimes you open sandbox mode and the unlockables are there, but when you exit and go back in, they’re gone. This makes getting decorations for roller coasters really tedious.
