"Cleric and Goblins" is a thrilling VR action game featuring procedurally generated dungeons, a physics-based combat system, and intense loot collection. Your mission? To rescue the ever-unfortunate Cleric from a goblin-infested dungeon! But beware of the goblins' cunning traps at every turn. Battle your way through hordes of goblins, rescue the Cleric, and claim the ultimate loot in this hack-and-slash adventure!
Weapons have weight and friction, and goblins are equally affected by physics. Swinging a sword lightly won’t suffice. Strike slowly, Precise force, and Deeply Stab the vital points!
Your mission is to rescue the kidnapped Cleric! Navigate through goblin traps, save her, and safely escort her out of the dungeon! Remember, she is subject to physics too!
The dungeon changes every time you dive! Break through randomly generated dungeons and collect ultimate loots! Enjoy the adventure as many times as you want!

Counterintuitively to most VR games, the hit detection doesn't require swinging your weapon with force. Have you seen the Walking Dead TV show? You want to gradually sink your blade into the goblin's head or heart. Press A to flip your weapon downward and when it sticks to the goblin's head, drive your arm down steadily like cutting through a watermelon. Don't be afraid to use your other hand to hold goblin still. Armored enemies are tougher and may need to be knocked around.
I have tried this multiple times but it seems the same thing happens everytime.....except one rare time.
After the "Made with Unity" screen, there sounds like a single knock while the screen is pure black, then it slowly, and I mean very slowly and choppy, it trys to load the tavern, not all the area loads, and is very janky to unplayable when you try to move, I usually have to quit and give up.
It doesn't make sense, I own a Meta Quest 3, and much more demanding games graphically run just fine! I never had this problem on the demo which I thoroughly enjoyed and was why I purchased this.
Please optimize your game so I can play it and I'll give you a higher Star rating!
Thanks for your time and understanding. 🙏
This game has a good mix of procedural and immersive take in a anime-fantasy. We don't have many anime fantasy VR games.
The positives of the game is that it doesn't hold your hand. Battles are very unpredictable at times where you can get your weapons swatted aside and must think on your feet like a movie. The goblins, though small, can easily take you out within a few attacks. I like the unsettling quiet and the overall emptiness of the dungeon, making you feel so isolated and even fearful if you dial the brightness down.
If there is a negative I would say the only real negative is a lack of a story and interaction with Cleric. The other is sometimes the physics act up, where the goblins skulls act like steel armor or weapons fly away despite no force applied to deflecting your blows.
The game starts off each time with stealth first. You need to be careful as to how you handle goblins so you have enough health to save Cleric. Once Cleric is free the game shifts where you're feeling invincible and carefree, since Cleric is consistently healing you.
I like the little tavern at the end of each level, I wish it was occupied with more, people, girls that we can save or fight alongside with. I see potential in this setup for more story based or roguelite games with more enemies/goblin types to face, more weapons with unique enchantments, different types of dungeons, bosses and more story involving Cleric or even more heroines to meet and save. (Would be cool if we had different classes or types of heroines, starting with Cleric herself, and a warrior and even a sorcerer as the difficulty ramps up. Maybe even have an upgrade system.)
Exploring and hunting missions could be used. And you can bring along Cleric.
I would love for an update for this game. It's straight to the point and has a good repetitiveness that immerses you despite the first glance of the game. I actually have successfully saved Cleric with no damage and now she's safe at the tavern.
The collision detection is practically make believe.
After playing Sword and Sorcery, and Swordsman, I expected at least SOME realism in the weapons handling and combat. Hitting the enemies are seemingly up to some kind of invisible Dice Roll system, because you can walk up and stick a blade into a goblin and it will not register anything except your own disbelief that nothing happened after inserting a blade handle deep into some goblin ribs....for zero damage of course.
This seems like a very easy problem to fix, considering these dingle berries also did Sword and Sorcery.
What an absolutely fantastic game !! The sense of place is crazy good. The fighting can be frick'en hilarious from time to time and the sound is great too ! A few things that would definitely improve it...
Higher res textures, more level variety. (Sone of which could be partially done by simple palette changes.) Getting your coins to mark your way through by finding them in hidden chests.
(The way it is now you get an unlimited amount of them and you don't have to find them.)
That part should be harder.
Sometimes, connected segments don't lineup correctly.
And the textures used in the tavern should have been made with 3d images. In fact all the textures should be from 3d images. That being said this game is still FANTASTIC !!!
Must add more stuff
Like goblin stashes chests
Store mechanic
And need to learn the health bar not sure other then last two hits before faint
Must add nood mod
This game has a lot of potential
And could make one where player is goblin raiding villages and kidnapping girls
