This app is located both in reality and virtuality. In MIXED REALITY you are still able to see your real surrounding. It is extended with digital elements such as your playing partner and his chess pieces. Depending on if you are playing with a physical chessboard and physical pieces these assets are either part of your reality or the digital virtuality.
Due to the MIXED REALITY focus we recommend using the application with Quest Pro or Quest 3.

It's good, but!
First, let me say I love hand tracking and mixed reality, I think it's a great addition to VR. I love that the devs are using hand tracking and mixed reality; it's the reason I bought the game. With all that said, I think the game should also have an option to use the controllers. Hand tracking is a great feature, but at this level, it could be a tedious chore getting the board just right when you just want to jump on and play a quick game or two.
I love how this game isn't bloated with different chess variants, wacky music, in the app store, leader boards.... it's just a simple flat board with pieces and basic chess setup options, I love it! 🥰
This game requires an internet connection for solo play, I don't like that. This game really needs an offline mode, in case we're traveling and just want to play versus the AI or a player in the same room as us.

Unhappy that I played it for 10 to 15 mins and didn't get a refund when requested !!
Its a good base but room for improvement
I think the base is good and the MR feature is actually pretty awesome.
- Calibration of the chessboard is complicated because Handtracking sometimes doesnt work accurate
- Online is empty. Maybe look into some sort of Lichess Integration, that would be pretty sick.
- Rematch Button? Should be a thing
- With a real chessboard sometimes my moves get stuck. Maybe integrate a "Reset Move" Button?
- Maybe some skins so the board is a bit nicer to look at
Great MR title
This application really goes new ways. I love how I am able to use my physical chess set to play.
Definitely a glimpse of the future!
Multiplayer with my friend works flawlessly and really feels like he is sitting across the board.
Has Potential
It's pretty good but it I didn't see a way to show a moves list on the table during game. This would be very helpful to ensure that the virtual board records the move I intended. In a game, apparently it thought one of my knights was on a different square and I don't know how it happened. Needs a move list so you can confirm it recorded the move you intended.
Great Potential!
I love the UI/UX interface of this app. Unfortunately i have issues with the AI where it will not make any moves whenever i start the game. I also have not been able to get into a game with anyone. I don’t want to refund this app because i can see its growth potential but it’s unusable atm. Are there any updates that will fix this issue coming soon?
Edit: The AI has been completely fixed and I see that developer is working real hard to make mixed reality chess a reality. The only thing I’m looking forward to is a better matchmaking system.
