Sharpen your blade and prepare to clash in Broken Edge, an online or solo 1v1 sword fighting game that lets you battle as a Viking, Samurai, Knight and more.
Awaken your blade’s awesome power by learning ancient techniques. Smash your opponent’s weapon, strike at their weak points, and climb the ranks to become a champion sword fighter in VR and MR.
Each class comes with their own fighting styles to master. Keep your blade intact, study when to block and when to strike, and master your martial style to awaken your weapon’s hidden power. Head online to vanquish foes or face opponents and train in the dojo in solo modes.
Choose between eight different fighters from various eras of history. Study the way of the samurai, embrace the visceral techniques of the Viking, or bombard your foes as a Barbarian. Also including Pirates, Ronins, Duelists, Knights, and Tyrants.
Become fully immersed in a stunning world of vivid colors, with arenas that reflect each character’s history. Or keep yourself grounded in the real world and bring your opponent into your living room with razor sharp mixed reality support.
Forged in the flames of committed development and community feedback, Broken Edge is in fighting form two years on. Improved features and vital balancing make this the best version of the game to date.

Considering the limitations of the medium this is as good as it gets and I hope it’s emulated to other games.
It's completely Reliant on good internet, or hit detection and awaken is thrown out the window for certain characters. And some characters (duelist) is a pain to fight because how easy her awaken is, or Samurai, having no spead cap usually have them turning into an angry bird. Also no Casual mode. (Would give three stars but nobody would see my review.)
Fix the calibration.
This game is so fun if you take the time to learn the mechanics and different character styles. Also to the devs you should some sort of gladiator/centurion class.
There should be a setting where you can mark a player to not queue up with I just started I don’t want to keep matching with the same sweaty bum while I’m trying to learn, there shoudo definitely be a way to move with joystick and you should add legs to the bodies, needs to balance out some of the loadouts samurai’s tanto should be way shorter and you should add balances like you can put two hands on swords to do more damage and while you swing and thrust then whje you do it with only one hand it’s does less damage it would be really cool if you added more blade arts that are more complicated but give buffs and more styles
Genuinely unplayable with anything over 50ms.
And on top of being incredibly wifi dependent, you end up doing actual fencing stances, trying to practice, but end up being denied and losing to a literal child wilding swinging a one handed sword atleast 6-10 inches longer than anything historically accurate. Reach ends up being absolutely everything in this game too (since its kinda similar to fencing) so there is an adjectively best class aswell (the massive sword that belongs to a random class they shoved in because they ran out of ideas, thats literally based on nothing)
