Body of Mine is an award-winning, full-body VR experience that invites you to inhabit the body of another gender and discover stories from transgender individuals.

Combining body, face, and eye tracking with personal interviews of transgender individuals, the experimental storytelling experience allows you to hear, discover, and experience stories of gender dysphoria and euphoria.

Winner of the Producers Guild Innovation Award, and with accolades from BAFTA, SXSW, and Games for Change, Body of Mine “breaks through a psychological barrier that few pieces of media ever have” (WIRED), taking you on a profound journey of what it means to be a human being.

Much needed content

This really puts you in the shoes, or more accurately in the body and mindset, of trans and gender non-conforming people. An incredible resource for anyone who wants to better understand gender dysphoria.

Body of Mine for an LGBTQ+ Center

My director and I had the pleasure of meeting Cameron at a conference in Chicago last year. After doing the experience we automatically thought that our center would benefit from being able to show people the experience. Working with Cam was amazing and they were able to assist us in getting the headset to be able to bring it to our community.

Our parents of trans kids group appreciated getting a better understanding of their kids’ experiences with gender dysphoria and euphoria. It sparked a lot of good conversations about medical transition being just another part of the way bodies can change and grow.

Our trans and nonbinary staff have also enjoyed getting to play with and learn more about our feelings around gender dysphoria. I loved the stories and artistry. I felt so much euphoria seeing myself as a body of light.

Much love from LBU!!

A glimpse into body dysphoria

Come and experience the different body types and gender, while listening to the narratives of people who experience body and gender dysphoria. This program has the power to increase your understanding and empathy towards those who feel that they are born in the wrong body.

It reaffirms your gender experiences whether you are cisgender, transgender or non-binary. It reminds me that I am connected of - different body parts and each of them have their own stories to them. Most importantly, all those parts are capable of growing and develop into something beautiful.

I can keep going back to this program and not feel tired of experiencing each avatar. Can’t wait for more versions!

Transgressive, Transformative, Loved It

An exercise in empathy that you remember with your whole body.

Gorgeous rendering of a deeply personal experience that does not feel exploitative in the slightest.

On the contrary, it lifts up the participant and reminds us that the things that make us different are what make our communities strong.

Looking forward to seeing what comes next!
