Update: After the dev's reply I could past that section of the game, maybe I am not the brightest as I misunderstood the game instruction - but I would replace "Hold thumbstick button in" to "Move the joystick down and hold" in case there are other not so bright people like me.
I love the creature designs and look forward to exploring further.

Very good game for standalone. Yeah it's a bit questy when they die and go flying off. But least they don't dematerialize into nothing straight away like most quest games. The gameplay is smooth. Glad to hear you can turn off the text that keeps popping up and the dev explained reloading in another review I read. (Better one than mine) But what was even better if you look you can get the game for £8:99 bundled with another game that looks cool that I haven't tried yet. So don't rip yourself off get the bundle rather than pay £11:99 just for the one game. It's in the description.

Very nice game i love it!
Very good Graphics.
Bionic Hunter could be a hidden gem. The world design is the best part, in my opinion. The graphics are realistic and well-textured, the music is rad, combat is mostly smooth (I have some confusion regarding reloading, which I'll get to in a bit), and the immersion is strong. I've paid more for less for other FPS titles. There are a few small changes that could be addressed.
Some areas for improvement:
- there are simply too many words on the screen, which really reduces immersion. Is there a setting to eliminate those? While you're at it, is there a way to eliminate the numerical scores that pop up once one has killed an enemy? Those don't necessarily affect gameplay as much, but they reduce immersion and realism nonetheless. In any case, please include a setting to reduce or eliminate all the onscreen prompts and kill scores.
- I don't understand reloading. What actually reloads the gun? Pressing the B button, or collecting ammunition? Where does the collected ammunition go? Does it fully reload all guns, or just one type? What does "ready to reload" (or whatever it says) mean? A tutorial here would be helpful.
- minor aesthetics: the screen contrast seems to be very low in general, and then seems to get even lower at times. The blacks need to be darker in general; the worlds have a slightly faded grey appearance. Also, I'm not sure if it's supposed to be a day/night pattern, but there are times at which my screen seems to randomly fog/grey out to the point that I can't really see anything. It's very disorienting and doesn't seem intentional.
Overall, this is a really fun game and it's clear that the highly responsive devs are dedicated to making something that they're proud of. A few small tweaks would put it into the top echelon of FPS games.
