This didn't work for me in the slightest and I you must start a 7 day free trial with link to a payment. I'm still trying to figure out how to cancel. Man I hate that I have to figure out how to wade through all the crap to cancel something that didn't work even a little bit.
I loved the idea of AR boxing practice at home but wanted the feeling of hitting something real, not just shadow boxing at fake digital targets all the time. This app isn't perfect, kinda janky, not the prettiest, but it's a pretty cool start. I wouldn't call it a "game" yet really, there's very few features besides plopping an opponent over your bag and fighting them. But it gets the job done, you get to hit a real bag with the added bonus of it punching back at you to test your dodging and footwork.
Several uninformed reviews here complaining about the subscription or calling it a "scam". It's not a scam, it does exactly what the videos show. Developers don't work for free, what do you expect? Every fitness app on Quest has a sub or asks to pay for more content. Hopefully with some resources the devs can polish this up more and add more modes and features. For now I think it's still a pretty cool at-home training tool for anybody who really likes boxing and can put up with a little jank.
You can't do anything unless you pay a subscription of around 10 USD per month. That means you cannot even try if it works without paying. I know its free but not even allowing to try it means the devs know how bad it is. The "good" reviews are obviously fake.
I tried this app with a hanging heavy bag and my 14oz gloves. Tracking for punching and dodging is horrible.
It's not in any way free, the moment you install it, it hits you with a $10 per month subscription required to proceed. Needless to say this got insta-deleted. Misleading trash is misleading trash. Get yourself Thrill of the Fight 2 instead, for a one off payment of $10 - now THAT, is a great boxing game...
Not sure how or why this is free but if u have a heavy bag give this a whirl. Red gloves are a must for optimal hand tracking. I use a q2 in a dimly lit basement and hand tracking is decent enuff. (I’ll improve lighting in short order). I’ve used my heavy bag more in the past week than I had in last decade due to this app. I feel guilty using it for $0 tbh. I hope they add more/better reactionary features.
