BUY THIS GAME AND SUPPORT THE DEVELOPER!
I stand by what I said in my early access review. This game is top notch.
I've begun to notice a trend in the meta quest library of games where most of them are heavily inspired by other games made in the past I.e. the PS2 or PS1 days. This is one of those games that emulates the feeling of being warped into a 1980's arcade cabinet and being in the game itself. Two other games I could recommend off the top of my head that do this successfully are Space Pirate Trainer and Ark & Ade.
B99 Untethered, feels like an upgrade from both of the games I just named, combined with what I think has the PITCH PERFECT GRAPHICS for a game that is going in the direction of being a retro experience with modern VR gameplay.
I absolutely adore how the enemies are represented on the radar like random alphabet characters, which makes me feel like an antivirus destroying a bunch of micro viruses in a computer.
Have you ever heard of that game on the DS called X-Scape? Yeah this game is essentially X-Scape if it were a roguelite and in vr, and is one of my favorite games of all time simply because I am a sucker for games that take place in a cyberspace.
As of right now I have unlocked all of the upgrades. This game is addicting as hell.
Colorful, retro fun!
Killer visuals, killer beats, killer fun! The dev has poured a lot of love into this project and it shows.
Good rogue old style
I like this game. It’s not a favorite but I like it. Love the neon colors. Shooting is some getting used to as it is very much video game style, so the shots aren’t bullet sharp. And the one thing they need to fix is that seat the player is in totally obstructs your view when going down platforms. I was killed many times because of this to the point I had to just avoid them and go another way?

First played it on Steam then on Rift and now it’s finally out on Quest
