Arcaxer is a turn based VR RPG with first person action oriented combat, and a 3rd person god-view overworld set in a sci-fi simulation filled with colorful AI characters.
In the overworld you will explore procedural dungeons to find equips and new abilities for your character. You can access the hub world to interact with NPC's and buy new items with the credits that you earn in the dungeon.
Even though combat is turn based you must dodge enemy attacks with your body, and aim and time your own attacks with gestures. Can you make it to the top of "The Stack"?
Player Classes Choose fighter, thief, or mage to drastically change which abilities you learn as you level up your character.
Fighter: A class with a focus on physical attacks
Mage: A class with a focus on Hax, the game's special abilities.
Thief: A class with wildcard abilities that can change the tide of battle.

I had a great time playing this game! It reminded me of those old-school "climb the tower" RPGs from the early SNES era, but remarkably well-translated to virtual reality. The mechanics are fun, and they make turn-based combat work surprisingly well. My only complaint is that some of the boss's final attacks are nearly impossible to dodge, but I was able to make it work. Thanks for developing this game, and I'm looking forward to the next one!
I dont know why people say this game is too easy. I barely completed it on normal! It's got just the right challenge for everyone. Easy for newbies and utterly insane for tryhards! I just love all the little secrets and puzzles within this game. Loads of cool stuff so that you have to take your time and explore and that is what makes me love it. I love the Battle layouts. It sort of takes aspects of its battles from different games like undertale with the dodging or final fantasy with the spellcasting. Epic game 10/10 and I can guarantee you that I will buy the sequel.
Edit: Thank YOU for making a game that I've 100% completed, including all side quests and literally finding everything, because it's such a good game.
So, I have to admit I only just started playing yesterday, but so far, this is one of my favorite games to play on this headset. It's really good
Dear Dev, I'm enjoying your excellent VR RPG game. However, could you patch the game so that when music volume is the lowest, there is no music at all instead of faint music still in the background. I would like to be able to play without the repetitive music. Also, as many others have pointed out the character's running speed in the overworld could be a little faster. Thank you.
Amazing game super fun love the story the graphics are amazing the only thing I would change is the memory core drop rate if you know you know overall love it
The people complaining about how easy it is
A. Are playing on lower difficulties and
B. Not giving enough time to get past the lower levels.. of course it's gonna start off easier in the beginning. It's a video game!
Overall the game is extremely fun. There are a variety of gameplay styles based on the class you choose. The combat is fluid and rewards you for wiping out all enemies on the first turn of combat (1.5x exp), making each battle essentially a puzzle to solve. There are side quests and secrets galore. The story is interesting and keeps you wondering "what it all means".
The game has a couple bugs, most of them not heavily impactful and a little funny. And despite there not being any live updates for a few months (team has shifted focus on completing Arcaxer 2), the devs are still active and very helpful on their discord server!
If you enjoy gameplay that rewards you for a mixture of skill and getting big numbers, and want to drown in oodles of meme references and a morality pondering SAO-like story, handcrafted by a team of people who clearly love what they do, Arcaxer is for you!
