The game does NOT look like the trailer. You have to play on PC for good graphics. The writing is nauseating. This game can NOT be played sitting down. I couldn’t go past 20 minutes without full on rage quitting. “That’s cute”. You racist 2 timing gross person. I’m a huge fan of the Alien universe. I adored alien isolation in VR. But this? No. This game ruined 50 years of a franchise. I’m sorry for all the black people out there who are so desperate for representation that they’d accept the garbage coming out of the woke mouth. They are NOT your friends. They just want diversity under the sheets. Jesus be darned. And I couldn’t refund the game despite playing for 20 minutes and buying it yesterday. I guess the good lord wanted me to write this review instead. Thanks everyone!
It's a good game but I'm getting tired of waiting for part two to come out to finish it. Will be five stars whenever they get that out
The game is all right, I guess, but it didn't amaze me. I expected to feel uneasy at least and never did. I chased down xenomorphs in order to see one after it was dead because they quickly despawn after being killed, and they take forever to path to you anyway. In the end, I just wanted to see the end and be done. The story and pacing bored me.
I have tried this and abandoned this game so many times by now.
It has so much potential. It looks pretty good, it sounds really good, has a good story, but it runs like crap! Frame rate is terrible and it gets really blurry when moving fast. Definitely not for weak stomachs.
And the click to run mechanic? I hate it in any game, but especially in this. I have probably lost 2 hours to this not always engaging when you need it.
I will eventually complete it, but I can't say I have totally enjoyed it.
Try it, if you are a fan of the Alien franchise, but forget it if you are not.
WILL MAKE YOU WANT TO COMITE SUICIDE IN THE GAME FROM HOW SCARY IT IS. 😵💥🔫
I was playing thinking it was going to be chill at the start but the second I saw one xenomorph I folded my arms tensed up and I did not want to play more but I did but the second I was in the dark with a flashlight and my guns and waves came I wasted all of my ammo and when I couldn’t reload the revolver I died because the ai is actually smart
10/10 horror action game very good
Would die again
(Also the arm hit box the finger physics and the re-grabbing is good but bugs ruin it a little)
vr jump scares are more horrifying than any horror movie or flat screen game you will ever play/watch.
-edit. Some people say the save system in this game ruins it but it’s really just a skill issue although it’s not for new people to vr its really annoying loosing a lot of progress but that doesn’t matter if you are good at the game.
Is it scary? Eh, more like unsettling, like you don't know when 5 aliens might pop around a corner. At the same time, you're given several weapons to absolutely decimate these things, like more aliens will die in this game then in any of the movies. Decent story, decent gunplay, decent graphics, and a lot of details that don't get put into most vr games. This game really feels like it's trying to be a well put together vr experience, besides the jank of course. I think it does most things pretty well, and is worth a try.
