Across the Valley is your friendly farm simulator, developed exclusively for VR.

Lend a hand — literally — so that everything can grow and thrive.
Sow, water and harvest your own plants.
Raise adorable baby animals.
Milk the cows, shear the sheep and go on a truffle hunt with the pigs — all in fun mini- and micro-games.

Features:
Action Point Locomotion System:
* No Motion Sickness! With the action point locomotion system, no artificial movement is done!
* Each action point is designed carefully to have everything you need within the reach of your hands.
* You can get to each action point with just a blink of an eye.

No button learning:
* Do everything with your own hands. No extensive button learning is needed.
* To dig up a field, take a shovel with you and grab it with two hands. Then dig the field up like you would in the real world.

Automatic Micro Games:
* Instead of typical minigames that interrupt the game, Across the Valley automatically starts and stops a microgame when you perform an action.

Stay busy:
* 36 tasks (quests) guide you from the basics of seeding to going on a truffle hunt with your pigs.
* Infinite orders keep you busy, even after the main game.

Cozy mood:
* Carefully composed art style that lets you enter a comic-style world.
* A well balanced mix of hand-drawn 4k textures and programmed effects create the illusion of a hand-drawn VR world.
* Relaxing, exclusive soundtrack that puts you in the right mood.
* Upgrade your house to make it look nice and cozy.

Surprisingly good

Bought this game on sale for like £2. Its surprisingly quite good. I would say its more of an introduction to vr farming sims but its not bad. I wouldn't pay more than £5 for it because I just think it's too small but I like the gameplay loop.

There are no instructions ?

I’d like to rate this app better but have no idea how to use the controllers. There are levers to pull and a book to read (which I can’t open) and absolutely no instructions as to how to use the controllers to play the game ?

Hi there!

Press and hold the "Grip" button on the controller to pick up the book, it should open automatically as soon as you hold it in your hand. If the book has more pages, you can turn the pages with your other hand and the same grip button. With the same interaction you can grab the lever and pull it up and down. Also you can teleport with the "Trigger" button as you are directing the controller to the area you want to go to.

Hope that helps, happy playing

Disappointing

It's all the repetitive tasks you can expect from harvest moon without any of the movement, freedom, storyline, or anything you'd expect. Hopefully they plan on a HUGE overhaul of this game.

Cute af!

Awesome game, simple and addictive. What bugs me are the animal's names tough. Difficult to memorise (we made the farm a family business and actually talk about them). We would love to name them ourselves.

Also that beautiful pond needs a purpose! Just chilling and watching animals (fish, dragon fly, butterflies, frogs, ...) at the pond would be awesome.

Whereas... maybe catching fish for a pet cat... since it would be too silly to catch that mouse. (I might want to name the mouse as well, as I share my house with it.)

First game I can cast on tv for my kids

Most games on the Meta store are too violent for me to play in front of my littles. This cute little farming sim is perfect. They help me pet the chickens and sheep. They help me scoop the poops. It’s money well spent on this game for me. I don’t mind the teleport to get around, but I wouldn’t mind being able to walk around on my farm either.
