Seems Good, but Is It Really "Free" Now?

Seems great from what I've played thus far andca step up from "1976 Back to Midway" (the now unplayable game that is now for me & many others since 2+ weeks ago due to the guns not working anymore for whatever reason, and no fix seemingly ever coming...), so I am glad to have found this title in the arcade selection at the start of the Operation Warcade demo (another game I immediately purchased after trying).
I am very confused on if I actually have the FULL game here though, as I only selected the free DEMO for the game (selecting the full game option in the arcade menu only brings up a blank store page that never loads and searching the game here in the Store only brings up this version I got when selecting" Demo"), and this free version I have is acting like the full game...
So did they just make the game free or did the game never get a full release/ got taken down?. ..
No idea, but I hope I have the complete game so as to have a replacement (especially a free one) for the now unplayably broken 1976 Midway game I paid good money for...

Hidden Gem!

The quality of this game surprised me. It looks fantastic and the gameplay had enough of a twist on a shoot em up to keep me hooked.

Take my money plz !

I've always loved "shoot 'em up" like this, but here you've taken the genre into another dimension! 3 different game views and action in every direction. The piloting is magnificent! (but can still be improved a little). The Mixed reality mode is crazy, you have planes flying in your living room, how can you not be won over? I recommend it without hesitation, plus you can try it for free before buying.

Please, French subtitles would be so nice to enjoy the story.

Perfection

What Ivanovich Games delivers here is the absolute crowning glory. Operation Warcade had already impressed me and Beat Blaster is also a great experience, but 2076 Midway Multiverse plays even more with the perspectives and opens up completely different dimensions for me as a shooter fan. The expanded 2D shmup environment paired with game elements from a strafox/space harrier and even a real futuristic flight sim blew my mind at first and still puts a big grin on my face that I can hardly ever stop playing it. There is also a great high score hunt, trashy but funny story with great movie anecdotes, great effects, a long gaming experience and non-stop action.

Thanks for the feedback. I don't understand the question about the full version. You can buy it inside the demo with a single button

Updated for quest 3

Update 12/3/2023:

They have significantly increased performance and resolution on Quest 3. It really is phenomenal and it appears that my complaints about the motion controls are no longer valid as those sections have been removed. I'm really impressed that they've continued to update this underrated gem and the Quest 3 performance really is impressive. Five stars now!

Original review:

I love this game. I've been a fan of this developer for years as they release reimaginings of classic arcade games. This is no exception.

I do have some complaints after buying the full game. I'm playing on Quest 2 so I can imagine the performance is even worse on the first one but it has some serious performance issues in Hell, the Green Zone, and a few hiccups in the Medieval themed area. They all look incredible but I thought they used ASW (not available on Quest 1 I believe) but it still goes well below 72 fps. I'm assuming the real frame rate here and there must dive below 36 fps or ASW isn't working properly.

My other complaint is that the puzzle blocks often require a lot of pulling down. Like from my couch to the floor level of pulling down.

The great parts of this game are the humor, visuals, awesome view shifts, and I love the cockpit mode in the immersion zones.

The price is good and I think there is enough content to purchase especially if you liked 1976 which is also excellent and performs better but isn't as ambitious.

If they can fix performance this game belongs in the main store alongside some of their other titles.
