Needs fixing

Overall game looks good, but I can see the issues as reported by other people. Shots are not accurate. Plane controls are finnicky. I don't want to give up the game but if there are no updates within the refund window, I probably will ask for the refund.

Is Now A Completely Broken Rip-Off...

UPDATE 05/05/2025- So after 2-3 weeks of not playing since I've been busy moving, I started up the game today. The game and my Quest 3 are 100% up-to-date as well as no other games/ apps giving me any problems. But though this game WAS working just fine last time I played, now my jet's guns do not work at all. They literally are not firing now, only giving me bullets wherever I fire them but they don't move after that, just frozen in place and 99% USELESS in completing ANYTHING in this game!
This goes for thr immersive mode as well, where my bullets are going backwards as if stuck after EVERY shot I fire and I fly past them.
So now the ONLY way I can kill anything is with my missles, which still randomly shoot as they slways have but are not at all a weapon you can rely on due to the slow random nature of it...

So now I've got a broken game that I can't get a refund on and can't play...
Avoid this one and save your money, as it's not the entertaining arcade game it was before it seems...

OG- So giving the game a second-chance and re-buying it, I have to say I'm enjoying it now. Just a really great arcade title to have, and I love any game that has satisfying progression in the form of great upgrades giving me more reason to keep playing.
I will say though that I still find the Immersive Mode sections the weakest so far, minus the stationary shooting one that works fine. The controls for these sections is just so slow and cumbersome, making it hard to do what you need to do. They don't feel impossible/ bugged nor are crashing my game this time around though (not sure if the game has had a few updates since my last play 6+ months ago or if I was just in a bad place before, but happy no matter thr case. 😅).

So I'm glad to have this in my collection again and definitely recommend it to any arcade fans and/or classic bullethell jet fighter games.

1976 Back to Midway

This game is very fun until you go to the immersion zone. It’s so incomplete. The controls and shooting is so bad. Doesn’t make sense. I don’t know why they even kept it in the game with it being that horrible. They could’ve just kept the immersion part out of the game completely. If there’s not an update to fix this, the game is not worth getting.

Another bust!

Waited on this game for awhile. I just knew I wanted it as an old schooler. I thought for sure I would love it. Bam, it came up for sale $5.99. Gonna get a refund! They just try to do too much. Plus, I can't stand shooting games where it seems like your bullets don't do anything. At one point, I ran over some time warp thing..(time slows down) But still I threw everything I had into one little enemy & it wasn't enough!!?? They just flew on off the screen, never to be seen again.

Great!

I was very surprised just how fun this was. Hitting perspective changing power ups turned a good 1941 style game into a great 1941/After burner mash up game. Would recommend to anyone who also likes arcade shooters and flight combat games.
