This looks great, but I can’t even try it. I have an azure virtual desktop access available on my PC and iPad. It works really well and has no additional account requirements. I think requiring a meta business account ill impact VR adoption on quest more than the revenue meta business accounts would generate . Please just give me the ability to log into my work AVD.
Wow a Microsoft app that won't work with Windows 11
imagine that.... we'll you don't have to its here it will work with Windows 10 apparently
I was/am intending to use this app to access my works Windows 365 cloudpc directly, but apparently, for some reason, a Meta for Business account is required to use the cloudpc option, which is super-dumb if you're running zero trust and 2-factor authentification to create a BYOD-environment. Please remove that requirement as it messes with companies that have a BYOD-setup as well as ordinary, non-business related people who wants to use Windows 365 cloudpc.
I know Meta REAAALLY wants us to use their business suite tools, but stop making it a requirement as it will hamper adoption and create a chicken and egg problem when it comes to using VR for work.
I have used all of the apps for having my desktop in VR. Each of them have their quirks. I like using VR for writing code and for the most part there has been nothing that really works well for that, until now. While not perfect, laggy at times, can take some resetting if you take a break, this is the closest to the setup I expect for coding. I have been able to get a lot done and the quirks are minor for the level of productivity I get. Can't wait for this to be fully developed.
I use my Quest over VPN to access my Windows 11 PC, but I need to use an app on my phone to enable passthrough peripherals. Why doesn't the win app on the quest3 handle this directly??
I wish this app could work not only with Wi-Fi but also with the USB-C cable, which may reduce lagging and increase performance. The only good thing I like about this app (and this is the only reason I prefer using this app), is when you connect your VR headset to the computer through this app, my laptop monitor goes black, providing with a layer of privacy to those with want to be noisy about what you are doing on your computer when you can not see them because the VR headset
