For some reason I need to jump instead of running… any suggestions?
It's a great motivation, but it's getting repetitive after a while. I wouldn't mind buying additional exercise packs.
I have done two workouts so far. What I like is the gamification of a workout that has pretty clear/intuitive instructions for doing the task. For me, a pretty active 54 year-old, the tasks are challenging but achievable and it's clear to me that it will challenge me more when I'm ready. My likes for this game are enough to keep me going, unless I find another app that does the same thing but looks and functions better. Great job so far.
Have said that, I have some feedback with hopes of getting some things that would improve my experience:
1. The graphics need some professional overhaul. It gives me the feel of 90s era web sites where people have no concept of visual hierarchy, color schemes, and that every design choice must add value (think "less is more"). I think a graphic designer could spend an hour suggesting improvements. For example, using a different border radius for the buttons than the windows creates visual chaos. Use something else if you want someone to notice a button. Examples: Wooden platform fights with the other design elements, red font for end-of-task summary, font choice for the enemy dialog. Pick a consistent color scheme and stick with it. Do some research on the font families that are appropriate for dialog, menus, etc.
2. The movement of the platform and clouds makes me sick to my stomach at game startup. It causes vertigo. Until we have something else to focus on, I suggest you don't do that or reduce the effects. I'm curious if anyone else experiences that. I use teleport in other games (e.g., walkabout minigolf) and sometimes feel a little queasy, but this games startup is nauseating.
3. The duck-walk game puts some targets outside my defined boundary. I'm running into furniture.
4. When I started the game the 2nd day, I got a "go back to you play area" arrow even though I was in it. I had to restart the game.
5. Need small HUD when forced to look away (e.g., stretching) showing pose and progress bar.
This is how vr should be pushups, situps, squats, burpees also warmup and stretches excellent. 5 stars and thankyou for being an active developer.
This game is so good. It's fun and engaging and I really hope the developer adds to it or makes another similar game. Thank you for making VRit.
This is one of my favorite workout games. It can help make exercise more entertaining ,motivating and interesting. Vrit offers a solid variety of different workouts and gradually becomes more challenging to test your limits.
The workouts are hands free and can help you burn calories and build muscle. I highly recommend it. The price is worth it. The game is well made.
No subscription either. Imagine that and to top it all off you could achieve a better workout in Vrit in the comfort of your home than going to a gym.
This game is so underrated.
