Improvement needed !!!

The brush pressure is not realistic. Some large brushes are like wood that doesn't bend at all when you apply pressure. Painting VR has very realistic pressure next to it. This should be taken as a lesson and improved.

Not every brush is a mop, some real life brushes have stiff bristles. This is what Vermillion simulates.

Priceless experience!

I have absolutely no experience with painting, I just happened to grab this while it was on sale as it looked very well made. Little did I know I would end up loving this app! Possibly the first VR experience I truly lost track of time and just enjoyed the serene ambiance. I probably won’t get around to hauling painting supplies to the top of a mountain in my lifetime, this app makes it possible to bring that experience home and accessible to everyone.

If you’re even semi interested I’d say give this app a shot. I wasn’t really sure what to expect as I have no painting skill at all. There’s still something for everyone. There’s a paint by numbers mode that’s closer to a coloring book while you still learn to control brush strokes. There’s tutorial videos, paint a longs, and more to help get you started.

In short this is the perfect intro to the hobby in my opinion. Painting supplies can take up a lot of room, cost a lot of money, take time and effort to clean up, and just has a bigger barrier to entry than people realize. This has allowed me to dip my feet into the hobby without having to break the bank or feeling overwhelmed.

Paint by numbers

I love this app, I have been using it for a while now and the paint by number is my favorite. However a lot of times it changes the colors of the original reference picture. Hope to see a fix for that.

Hey there, happy to hear you're enjoying the ability to generate your own paint by numbers templates! By nature, paint by numbers has to compress the millions of colors of the reference image into just a few colors, currently at most 20. The algorithm picks the most common colors in the image, but it can't detect small distinct color areas that are obvious to our eyes. Remember that you can always still mix up your own colors by changing the palette from the palette menu. In a near future update, the eye dropper tool will also be able to sample colors directly from the source image, making the process even simpler. Hope that helps!

Delete layers

There should be a way to delete a layer.

Thanks for the reply. Happy that will be added to the new features.

Hi! Thanks for your suggestion. Layer tools for showing/hiding layers and deleting layers will come in a future update. Until then, you can wipe layers using the rag dipped in paint thinner - scale down the canvas to do this in a few strokes. Does this single feature request reflect your entire rating for the application?
