This Umpire training helps you work on calls at home plate and at first base. More situations are in the roadmap. The training is available for baseball, fastpitch softball and slowpitch softball.
At home plate you can select the pitch speed (or height for slowpitch), the location, variations, spin and wind. And you can select if you want feedback directly during the pitch or afterwards.
At first base you can practice close calls or work in a game-like context where the system determines the timing. After the call you can replay the action to see if you made the right call.

As an umpire, it is essential to judge where the ball hits the catcher’s glove. In this “game” the catcher doesn’t move at all, taking away from the realism. Also, I could not figure out how to remove the huge menu that covers the entire outfield. Great idea, poorly executed. These poor quality apps are ruining VR.
I couldn't get past the I understand screen. Please advise this seems like a good idea. I hope it works well soon.
It’s a great idea, and could be very helpful for umpires to train in the offseason or between games. Right now, it’s a bit clunky and crashes quite a bit. I wasn’t able to get the plays at 1B to start as it would lock up every time, but the calls behind home weren’t too bad. Like I said, it’s a work in progress.
Downloaded app this afternoon. Worked fine. Good enough to use with new umpires. Went to show another board member couple hours later and get error that the app has been modified manually.
Only modification was the levers within the app that allow for speed change and location etc. As well as right or left handed batter
I can not use it
I have a bug where I can’t even see the start menu please fix!
