Key features include:

  • Diverse image sources: pre-loaded collections with high quality images in lossless SVG format (famous paintings, architecture/castles, animals), and support for custom uploads
  • Spatial anchoring for consistent image placement
  • Environmental integration with shadow rendering and collision detection
  • Drawing assistance tools: opacity adjustment, desk calibration, and intuitive image manipulation

TraceARtist is optimized for Meta Quest 3, offering native resolution support and a responsive AR environment. It accommodates artists of all skill levels, from beginners to experienced professionals.

Cool idea

So that’s a very cool idea for an app I don’t really see much drawing apps on VR so surprised to see and then I don’t have a quest three or 3s so I couldn’t play so I was disappointed

2 ways to make this epic.

If you could pin a corner, and then set / orient each corner would be a gamechanger. It’s just so difficult to align.
Second point, have a place to upload your image to other than having to download it from a webpage.

Really bad

Imagines distort when moving 1cm. It’s a horrible experience.

Hi, the distortion you're seeing in passthrough is a limitation of the Quest's camera system (warping). Unfortunately, individual apps can't improve this as it's handled at the system level.

It was great but the people that made this should add were you can upload your own image but other then that every thing is good and works great

Hi! Glad you liked it. You can already upload your own images.
Here is a short, 2 minute guide on the topic:

Great start to AR drawing app

Very easy to use, library of images is growing but you can upload your own. Works well in AR. Can’t wait to see where the devs take this app, the sky is the limit!

Great for painting refences

Used it for a large painting. I wish I could quickly toggle the reference image on and off. Sliding opacity up and down is nice, but makes it hard to spot differences when refining final image.
