Titanic VR is a submarine simulator and immersive interactive story. With over 6 hours of game-play Titanic VR you will leave with a greater understanding of the historic tragedy that unfolded in 1912.
Diving to the bottom of the North Atlantic, you take on the role of Dr. Ethan Lynch, Associate Professor of Maritime Archaeology at the fictional University of Nova Scotia. With funding from a mysterious investor, Dr. Lynch and his PhD Candidate Jean Robinson have set out aboard a research vessel to dive the wreck of Titanic and answer questions that have remained submerged for a century. This game allows you to explore the full shipwreck inside and out and recover items and complete missions such as recovery of a downed ROV, Documentary Film Making and the creation of a photomosaic.

I had this Titanic Simulator on my former PSVR and whilst I enjoyed that immensely, I eventually sold the platform and came to Meta. I had been plugging this simulator for well over a year and finally, it is here. Dreams do come true.
I purchased this on its release date and couldn’t wait to download and immerse myself into it. I actually happy cried because I loved the PSVR so much and so far, this is exactly the same as I once played.
I cannot thank the developers enough for bringing this to Meta. The graphics and sound are far much better in this Meta version compared to my former PSVR version.
If you love the Titanic and its history. You will totally enjoy this immersive exploration and being released on the day it foundered in 1912, has its special place in my heart.

Been down to the Turkish Baths with the ROV and the detailing of the ceramic and glass tiles are amazing :)
11/06/2025:
Completed the game and done more of my own searching of certain areas.
Captain Smith’s bath is now shown in his cabin. Still full of water ;-)
Debris Field: Smoke Stacks East of Bow Section. Titanic’s Bell, 1st Officer William Murdoch’s Pistol and Duffle Bag located <70mtrs North of Bow Section. Cargo 1 Hold Cover South West of Bow Section.

((( SPECIAL LOCATION)))
Just came across this.
Travel 227mtrs SWS from Grand Staircase (approx 50mtrs SWS from Cargo Hatch #1) and you will find the Oceangate Submersible that was attempting a dive to the Titanic in 2023. Powerful addition to this VR Experience.
Just waiting for the final item to be added to this simulation.

Updated for “Experience”.
No simulation has brought tears to my eyes. This update has brought a truly remarkable addition to this simulator, of the final moments before Titanic foundered. The families, splitting of the males from their families. The rowing away from the ship. To the final part, when she broke up and sank below the surface of the North Atlantic. Such a powerful scene. Who dares not to shed a tear, for they are cold hearted. Nice job devs :)
Best Simulator and I totally recommend it :-)
Premium platinum Dom Perignon champagne grade app. Intense. Surpasses all expectations.
*Whew! An unforgettable historical adventure on an immense scale.
***** UPDATED REVIEW AFTER APRIL EXPERIENCE ADDED *****
(Quick note - DID YOU FORGET TO PUT AN EXIT THE EXPERIENCE BUTTON! hope if anyone starts it they dont plan on exiting without closing the whole app!)
Disappointing...
Now I know not to compare the PCVR version to thw standalone version but we're not trying to bring over Half Life Alyx graphics here.
Yes, the main "experience" is all intact but the issues below are still a negative that outweighs any positives.
1. The audio is either broken or wasn't tested / just throw in - because upon the ship at the start all the characters' audio comes from directly in front of you, irrelevant to who is talking. When the girl is placed on the boat you look to the left to see her and her voice is then coming from your right ear (from the same place the whole conversation audio was playing from) instant immersion breaking.
The audio then when on the row boat all just plays directly in your ears no matter who is speaking, which takes away the experience even more as you have no idea who is speaking, at one point I sat there thinking "wait am I an actual character on the boat and I'm speaking here"
I wasn't expecting a fully simulated ocean but to just have the whole sea/water pitch black (accept from if you look down to your left and you see what looks like static concrete and not anything that resembles water) ruins the experience even more.
Upon going back to the PCVR version just to compare, that didn't render a full ocean but just enough where the lights were hitting it to give you that feel of being in actual water.
Also missing even just the slightest glow of the ship lights on the water as it sinks is massively noticeable from the original to this port.
In short yes I will still probably let people see it as it's easier than carrying around my pc to show someone the better version but it would be nice if a few minor tweaks were made to at least get the standalone experience to a better place.
- Fix the audio positioning on the ship and the rowboat.
- add some kind of water look to parts where light is catching it, even just some white wiggling lines would look better than pure black abyss.
- The final part of the ship after it has split and is sinking is too brightly lit (the original was much darker which gives it a more eerie feeling seeing the ship in darkness with no power disappearing into the ocean)
This version has this light wood colour which makes the boat look like it's incorrectly lit in the scene.
I hope these things can be added/improved (ESPECIALLY THE AUDIO AS THAT IS JUST BROKEN for an experience that is heavily relying on being in the moment with these characters)

(Original review below after purchase)
I purchased this game (I say game lightly)
I own it on pc and solely purchased the Quest version so i can easily let people experience the best part of this app, the Titanic sinking experience. On PC this was the most uncomfortable experience ever (as in seeing what happened in 1st person and watching the ship sink was something that cant be explained, hence me buying the question version to allow people to see it easily)
But that part says COMING SOON!!! so what have i paid for??? The VERY OUTDATED "game" part, snap turn, if you activate smooth turn on the drone it takes about 2 hours to turn around.
How is this out for the price it is and 1 part of the app isnt even in the game yet!! This should of came out at 2.99!!!
I have no idea at all how 1 of the reviews on here says graphic update on the quest and looks stunning! It looks pretty much the same as the pc version from however many years ago it released. Underwater looks nice with loads of stuttering, and in the base where you do the washing the items etc looks like the graphics are set to potato mode. Zero graphic upgrade so do not believe anyone who says others.
This is a straight port and is missing the best part of the whole experience!
But its "coming soon" apparently!!?? Just not when the game is released to everyone!
DO NOT PURCHASE.
*in reponse to the devs trying to justify it with "its early access the rest comes later" then maybe release it at half price then.
Updated review after game update ----
Actually got excited to see it had Updated so jumped straight in to finally be able to show people the titanic crash experience!
I then find out the update was the titanic tour part and STILL we have to wait for the 1 part everyone Actually wants.
So now you can either play the story part in the sub going round the titanic OR let ir drive you around the titanic... such a great variety.
If i could id lower the review to 0 stars.
OK, so optimization is when an app can run, without, without, crashing all the time.
Also, spacial audio? Nonexistent.
Graphics? Pretty good Quest 2 graphics, sadly I have a Quest 3.
The wreck tour is pretty good, although, again, I wish the skills of the Red Matter team were employed just for the glass at the front. Red Matter 2 has some amazing glass effects. Here? Some dirt on a dome. Minimum effort or a lack of ability? The system can do much better, that's for sure.
Seen worse, but seen much better.
This is as close as I will ever get to seeing the titanic. This is an awesome experience. Great job to all the developers for working on this for quest users. Thank you for all the hard work put into your game. Patiently waiting on update to make the experience better. P.S. could you add a play station controller on the ocean floor. Thanks! 😉 YES!!! Finally you get to experience the sinking from a lifeboat.
My first encounter with Titanic VR was when Oculus first introduced Oculus Link to the Quest and it was the first title i purchased to try out. I was blown away, I even emailed them asking if there were any plans for a standalone version for the Quest but never got a response although back then i was clueless about requirements etc so looking back it probably came across as a ridiculous request.
Imagine 5 years later seeing "Coming Soon " on the store. Straight on my Wishlist and i was ecstatic counting down the days until now when it is finally here.
So Titanic VR is early Access with a lot still to be added but even so an amazing experience i can highly recommend and looks fantastic on the Quest 3. I have always used the sandbox mode simply because i was intrigued to explore however this time i decided to actually play the game and surprisingly there is an awesome game there.
There are some glitches here and there but not enough to ruin the experience and no doubt they will be sorted plus as i mentioned there are more features still to be added.
Overall i can highly recommend this experience and the price is excellent for what you get as it is let alone the features still to be added.
Thank you so much for bringing this to the Quest.
The cockpit is still way to dark in the "Short Tour" as its almost black ... UPDATE ... The sinking has now been added and to be honest looks far better than i expected so well done Devs on that. Obviously some texture sacrifices had to be made but not that noticeable unless you directly compare to the PC. I did think the Quest 3 was crisper and the lighting was better in certain areas also.
Great job and very happy
