Great to have very clear step-by-step onboarding
Noise! :)
For an early-access title, this is great!
I’m a novice at best. On Day 1 I felt I was making real progress. Day 2 was a setback—my scores were consistently low—and on Day 3 it took a lot of trial and error before my feedback finally surpassed Day 1.
The issue on Days 2 and 3 was that I had only three numeric gauges and no indication of what to adjust. Were my hands too high or low? Did they travel too far? Was I leaning? A clearer feedback system would help. One idea: let us replay our performance with our head and hand positions overlaid on the blue model’s expected movements. That visual comparison would make it obvious which parts of our motion need correction.
As a lower priority, it would be nice to choose more lifelike avatars as dance partners. The blue avatar works well during lessons—it’s unobtrusive and keeps the focus on the instructors and on-screen cues—but when you’re practicing solo, dancing with a more realistic partner would feel less odd.
I’m an experienced Salsa dancer so I was looking forward to trying this app out. I love the energy and personality of the instructors and the realism of the dance studio.
For an early release, this application is working well compared to other apps I’ve tested. I feel like when I was just starting out with learning Salsa, the instructors humor and encouragement put you at ease and make the session fun.
Recommend looking down to ensure your feet are aligned with the foot print images on the virtual floor.
Keep up the good work and will share more findings in the Discord.
This app is FUN, EASY, ,Interactive . You will learn Salsa. Highly recommend it! worth the money!
This is exactly what I wanted, to be able to learn the basic steps before I went to live classes. The Teachers are great and they guy is hilarious - Great Energy! My only problem is that, when I get to partnered turning practice (right after the teaching portion) I end up in an empty studio. The app stops and doesn't go on from there. Any suggestions?
I love this app. The instructors are amazing, the practices are very helpful, & the steps are quick & easy to pick up with practice. I can't wait until more content is added!!
