Fantastic fun for all. Could spend hours just flying from planet to planet in the solar system Hope they do an upgrade so we could go to far off distance galaxies. But so good for the price 👍👍👍👍
The app works well on meta quest 2 and I was amazed how good the graphics is. Also the movement doesn't make you sick like someone else said. One minus is that the side controller button returns you instantly in the main app menu and my kids frequently pressed it by mistake and then start winging. Also I would like to be able to see more space objects like galaxies, nebulae, maybe even some artificial satellites. All in all, my kids loves it and every day they ask me to see the planets.
Very informative
Based on other reviews the feature for which the developer was most proud is wildly inaccurate honestly though a star chart isn't that bad of an idea I do wish there was options for comfort and display settings for this particular mode when you highlight a constatation it shows not just how they connect but the image they're supposed to show which is kinda terrifying if you aren't prepared for it and moving in star chart/ explore mode is awful as well as you move so fast that the planets feel like giant balls about to hit your face this mode could benifit from snap movement there is a simple solar system mode that quickly goes over the planetary system that we all learned as kids and gives neat facts about each planet, the sun, and the moon the best mode however is the discovery mode this mode puts you in the moment of certain missions it has snap movement (when it is allowed) and you can learn interesting facts by simply pointing and clicking it only has 4 missions though 2 of which you most likely know most of everything about already those being the moon landing and the Mars curiosity rover that said this mode was actually the best mode and it'd be cool to have some dlc to expand it and keep us coming back now because this app costs $10 I would prefer that dlc be free but really any dlc period could greatly improve the quality of this app as it is now it is NOT worth the cash they are asking for unless you're using it as a teaching tool for a kid
Star Chart is an amazing astronomy app that makes learning about the universe fun and exciting. There is nothing like the 3D experience of VR to bring the stars and planets to life. It’s a must have app for kids.
I like this APP really a lot. Just a couple of improvements can make it a lot better like:
- a completely free of movements in the exploration mode (a must)
- the option to manually zoom in/out in exploration mode (see previous point)
- the option to zoom in/out in the planetarium using the joystick up/down
- the option to set time speed in the planetarium using joystick left/right
- the option to show artificial satellites revolving around earth
- a lot more automatic tours (like exploration of Jupiter satellites, discovering of Apollo 11 landing sites, follow voyager 1/2 flight path, etc.)
