SketchUp is one of the most popular 3D modeling tool for architects, designers, engineers, and hobbyists. Now you can unlock the power of SketchUp in VR. Visualize the models you have created in SketchUp desktop, mobile, and web with your favorite Quest device. By bringing SketchUp on the Quest platform we enable our users to accomplish more meaningful tasks in their design process, collaborate more effectively with other stakeholders, and win more work by leveraging easy-to-use and easy-to-access immersive technology.
SketchUp Viewer Beta is the testing sandbox of the official SketchUp Viewer app that you can find in the Quest Store. Ahead of our production releases, we will leverage this Beta version for testing within Meta Quest's App Lab environment, where you can get glimpses of what we are working on next and provide feedback.

This app is really neat, but I noticed a lot of text is hard to read and as soon as I loaded a model the performance dropped quite a bit. Since this is a beta, perf probably somewhat forgivable but they should be using compositor layers to make text clear.
Just wanted to express my praise for the new feature in the SketchUp Quest viewer. The ability to turn a real-world context into a 3d SketchUp model is a really great addition to the app.
Using a Quest3, to be able to just walk around the space a few minutes and have it convert to a rough 3d model is a really nice for my work as an architect. I have to test more but I can see me doing this for every new remodeling job.
The accuracy is about 99% which is nice for a concept design but not good enough to actually use it for working drawings - yet... But with ever-improving hardware and software, I can see this improve with every generation so I'm hoping the team will continue to develop and support this feature and not just leave it as a proof of concept.
In short; this option really could be a game changer for every designer and architect.
