Definatly has potential

Really enjoying the gameified exerice in this.

What i really wish would change is the turning feature, right now i turn with the controller, but i wuld love if it turned with my head facing insted. becouse the joystick turn can be a bit wierd at times.

Im giving this a 2 star, since there seem to be nowhere to contact the devs of the game with suggestions or update, they seem to have dropped from the earth since march after the last vr patch

Terrible Hit detection/visual feedback

This game is a good workout, but it's incredibly frustrating and immersion breaking with how frequently the game refuses to recognize a hook or an uppercut. On top of that the visual cues on whether an enemy is invulnerable or whether you're blocking are nowhere to be found, leaving you confused and frustrated as to why a hit didn't land or why you took damage. This whole game just feels bad to play.

Rough start i hope they turn it around.

I'll give this a generous 4th star because the company are amazing people with integrity who I hope will succeed. They gave copies to everyone who kickstarted their physical exercise gimmick this was made for as well as not dropping the hardware - good people! And then they are going for a flat price instead of a gross subscription! But this VR port of their flatscreen game is *rough*. It makes all the motion sickness mistakes of first generation VR titles or enthusiast ports like Doom or Quake. Fast, jerky forced movement at what seems to be a low refresh rate makes for an incredibly unpleasant environment I don't want to spend time in even for free and with a stomach of iron, so I only expect to boot this up again in a few month's time to see its progress. The workout itself is exceptionally well considered if you can look past that.

The latest update is great!

Great work on the latest update.

I uninstalled the game after getting halfway through the tutorial when it first came out. The running was a nightmare — felt like I was drifting all over the place. Fighting was fun, but it didn’t really register properly. It just didn’t feel good to play.

This latest update is almost perfect. Running with your arms instead of your legs removes that weird drifting and the slight disorientation when moving side to side. It’s way smoother now. Only thing I’d add is an option to make the track auto-adjust to the gems, so you don’t have to manually turn. That way you can just focus on going fast — arms or legs — and not worry about constantly fiddling with the thumbstick. Even head-based turning would feel better, honestly.

Adding an arena just for fighting is easily the best change. That’s the part I care about most — the fitness fighting. It’s fun, it’s clean, and the different enemy styles make it way more interesting than dodging flying orbs in most VR boxing games.

Would love to see spells added into the arena too, like the hex section in the tutorial. It’d be a great way to practise them while keeping the pace up.

But seriously — well done. You stuck with it, improved it, and now the game’s back in my library. Looking forward to unlocking more of the arena stuff… just gotta slog through the main game first.

Gamified HIIT workout

I really like Shardfall as a run in place and shadowbox app. I need more fun HIIT activities and this one is great!

That said, I have a hard time staying in place AND steering with the left thumbstick to grab the orbs on the path.

I would like to request two settings options:

1) To be able to steer with my head movement instead of the thumbstick.

2) To be able to focus on running in place without needing to steer anything at all.

I think this will just make the app more accessible to all.

I don't suffer from motion sensation issues, but if you do, I recommend adjusting the vignette settings they have provided.

Awesome!

I played yesterday for the first time and was concerned that I would get motion sickness with the running parts as it does move fast. I do get motion sickness on some of my other games after 30 minutes of play. On this one I didn’t. I felt great after an hour of play! I I didn’t intend to play that long but i was having so much fun the time just flew by! Today my arms are sore, mission accomplished! I have another workout app I love but this one is awesome with the addition of the resistance bands! I will be alternating the two. I would like the ability to turn without using the joy sticks but all in all this is a great game! Thanks so much for creating this game and helping me achieve my fitness goals!
