2. Listen to the sound of the ruler falling in the dark and catch it.

1. when looking and catching: light stimulus → visual cell → visual nerve → cerebrum → spinal cord → motor nerve → hand muscle → reaction (catching the ruler)
2 When listening and grasping: sound stimulus → auditory cells → auditory nerve → cerebrum → spinal cord → motor nerve → hand muscles → response (grasping the ruler)

Understand that this is due to the different pathways the stimulus travels and the different speeds at which the brain processes information about the stimulus
