I have to pay a subscription after paying 7.99 on it don’t recommend if you not trying to pay for monthly subscription I getting a refund because there is nothing for me to do
I don’t quite understand all the negative reviews. Yes, there’s a monthly fee on top of the base game, but that’s clearly communicated; modern songs aren’t free to license. The developer has to cover those costs somehow.
That said, the app itself is excellent. I’ve learned several classical pieces without being able to read sheet music fluently. While I did attend music school for a year, my playing ability has always been stronger than my reading skills; this app really helps you learn in a more intuitive, hands-on way.
Especially with the MIDI function; it’s been a real game changer for me. You can also upload your own MIDI files, which I haven’t tried yet, but that feature could let you learn practically any song you want.
Don't be fooled by the screenshots, the actual interface looks far worse in person
When I originally subscribed to PianoVision half a year ago, I expected that the developers would be using my regular investment to improve the app and give me something in return for my money.
Instead, I have seen little to no changes. The interface is primitive, the notation system lacks basic functionality (It still doesn't tell you what key you are in or give note lettering in sheet mode) and the list of songs you can play is just annoying to use.
The user experience is clunky, stutter, and blurry. They still haven't added the ability to play audio from the song with the sheet
The genres make no sense. Why would anyone group pop and electronic music together under one filter? I want to see electronic music, not Beyonce
This is such a great app there is a lot of glitchy things that happen but like gps it gets you there but still don't know to get there without it
I bought this game and it asked me for a subscription after I spent £5 and basic is not good it does not track the keys you okay don’t get this game REFUND
Just like others here, I purchased the app when there was no subscription, when reviewers online raved about it's features. I didn't think it was as good as promoted to be. Now, after taking everyone's money, the developers now want a subscription. They should look at the success story of Walk About Golf and Real Fishing here on Meta Quest. Additional packs can be purchased, money keeps rolling in, they keep improving the games and everyone is happy - even the people who don't want further upgrades. Because there is no subscription, I am happy to get the upgrades.
If you want a subscription app, release as a new V2.0 app, download could be free and subscription shown upfront from the start. It's not fair to just add later.
