VR makes it possible.
I bought this app as a part of the VR travel mega bundle 3. Before that, exactly one year ago, I have booked Paris travel, and had plans to take such a boat tour too. Unortunately, I had to cancel entire travel and thus haven't taken the boat tour too. Now, with this VR app I could immerse into it and enjoy the tour along the Seine by seeing the iconic editices of the romantic city of love. Also cool thing about the bundle is that included in it is also a boat tour on the Themse. So you can compare these tours, cities, atmosphere &c.
Absolutely horrific. Avoid. Almost scam.
Basically a video taken by a guy with a 360 camera walking around, not scripted, my head is dizzy with his camera movements. And the quality is HORRIFIC. Also takes a few seconds to load for such a low quality video clip. Yes it’s only $1.99 but there’s a dozen FREE 360 degree VR videos you can find on YouTube that’s higher quality.

Just as you get to the pier, someone accidentally knocks your glasses off and they fall into water. You have no spare so you're just going to have to see the sights without your trusty pair of corrective lenses.
Well if this weirdly specific experience is what you've always wanted, this 360 degree video tour is for you! Experience Paris in all it's 240p potato-definition glory! You're a tall giant, probably dutch and whenever you look down, you're treated to a lovely sight of a subtly balding middle-aged man's head from bird's eye view. It is then that you're truly glad you lost your glasses and count your blessings.
Experience all the drawbacks of stuffing yourself into a crowed tour boat with stunning ultra-realistic ambience. Babies crying loudly? Of course! People being otherwise noisy and ruining the experience? How else? It truly captivates the underwhelming experience of these cheap tours. It's the one thing it does right.
There are no controls for the playback. Just like in real life, you're stuck there with no way to get out or get to the good parts. No settings or anything. It's just basically a VR 360 degree video but you can't even watch it in a good VR video player where you could tweak the experience.
