Important Update: Transition to Immersive Events in Teams

Starting December 1, 2025, Microsoft will retire the following experiences: Microsoft Mesh apps on PC and Quest, Mesh on web, and immersive space (3D) view in Teams meetings.

Going forward, Microsoft plans to focus on the development of immersive events in Microsoft Teams, an interactive, engaging virtual event experience with customizable 3D environments.

Immersive events will be supported on Meta Quest headsets by a new Quest app called "Microsoft Teams immersive", coming soon in the second half of calendar year 2025.

Microsoft Mesh empowers your distributed workforce to connect in 3D immersive experiences, featuring seamless integration with Microsoft Teams allowing you to join Microsoft Teams meetings directly from your Quest device through the Mesh app.

Also with Mesh, you can create an event experience with no-code tools – add in an expanding library of pre-made objects like screenshares, videos, images, and text.
