A New, Enjoyable way to read Old Comics

Finally! An app that allows reading of pdf's and cbz's that is incredibly easy on the eyes. The size at which you can increase/decrease the size of the pdf/cbz is wonderful as it allows various types and sizes of fonts to be properly sized for easy reading.

It took me a couple of tries to get the pdf's/cbz's to show up in the app library through the Quest itself, but I'll attribute that to operator error.

I agree with other commentors on the desire to have more formats available (e.g., cbr). If using the Quest as the storage space, I recommend using those trade paperback collections, compared to individual issues. If you have WinRAR, converting from cbr to cbz is doable, but would prefer cbr to be natively supported.
However, I think there is a size limitation the app can read. I tried a cbz of 2.2GB and the app wouldn't display it, but I can confirm a cbz size of 1.2GB is readable.

Lastly, some of the artwork in a cbz can have a 'shimmering' feel to it, which oddly, for myself, enhances the experience.

Overall, this app is well worth the effort, and I would pay to see improvements to this app.

Add smb, epub support and I’ll try again

I don’t use google drive and I can’t be bothered to copy individual files onto my device.

I have a large collection e-books, comics and magazines on my local NAS that I’d love to be able to browse in my headset. If this app allowed browsing an smb share and loading epub formatted books, it would become interesting. For now, it offers nothing I want, but maybe has the most potential of the few reader apps I have tried so far.

Huge opportunity for the dev

This app is great and unique.

It has an amazing potential and I think it would be a mistake for the dev to stop at this point.

To the dev: I contacted you on Reddit, I hope you'll see my message and get back to me! Congrats on what you've achieved so far.

Very cool

This is exactly what I have been looking for or it’s almost exactly what I have been looking for. It needs .cbr support though and when adding a book it’s bugged so you either lock and unlock or click on the program to resume. Either way it has a ton of potential and I hope it continues to get updates. Specifically for .cbr support but also adding different environments when not in pass through mode
