Disclaimer: This is not your standard language learning app. It’s the CrossFit of language learning apps. If you need to see grammar instructions and want multiple choice exercises to tell you how good you are, there are other apps for that. If you prefer to see an alphabet written on a blackboard in order to learn pronunciation, there are other apps for that.

We re-approached the language acquisition process from the ground up and created lessons that mimic the same learning process that we have all used while learning our first language.

We built this because we were tired of spending years in classrooms, looking at alphabets and grammar written out in text books and hearing lectures from “experts” with “decades of teaching experience” before going to foreign countries and understanding next to nothing.

We built this because we wanted to understand. We wanted to communicate with people from other cultures with other languages. If this sounds like you too, come join the revolution.

developers never heard of ACROPHOBIA?!?

I wanted to try this app as another approach to my daily duolingo lesions. But as soon as I clicked to start IM HUNDREDSOF FEET IN THE AIR ON A TI Y FLOATING ISLAND!
Yup, not for me.

Can a developer give me some insight as to WHY.? It’s not even just this app. Sooooo dang many apps, THAT HAVE NOTHINGTO DO WITH FLYING, CLIFFS, ETC. all do the same thing. I’d expect to be up high if I was on a flight simulator, a free climbing app, or a space station, ( of course I’m NEVER going to, cause..ACROPHOBIA), but not to log onto a language class!
I’ve hoped outta soooo many things her in the VR world that for some dang reason put me standing on a cliff just to play the game.

Nope, this is not for me. The anxiety is not worth the lesson.

great, free language learning app

Really fun lovely game, I dont leave reviews on things here but I have to say this is both fun and makes me learn, of course yeah its basic and wont get you astronomically far in your language journey but if you need somewhere to start or somewhere to train and expand your vocabulary whilst also having fun with games this app actually has quite a lot of content and levels for this.
I have tried the other language apps available on meta as well, and this is the only one with no paywall, completely free, I would 100% recommend this

I like It!

Although I may have an older version, I still enjoy learning by doing. As someone else expressed earlier, it would be helpful to have the written material available to read.

Please add Slovakian to English for people who want to lean Slovak, it would be a favour

It’s Ok

It’s just ok not that great from a person that’s been learning Japanese for a little bit I just wish there was a section were you can learn the writing systems for Chinese,Japanese and Korean instead of learning just how to say it and where you can talk to AI
