Update on my review, I have since been removed from the app under false accusations, I wish all my past friends a happy and healthy life. If you get to see this review, please take care, feel free to reach out to me here to stay in touch. Much love to you all. Pinkyloo :)
I cannot tell you how much this place has
changed my life. The guardians, guides, and admin are all fantastic. The members are so supportive. The support I have received throughout the ups and downs has been awesome.
The negitive reviews here show nothing towards the app, just from angry ex members who were unpleasant towards staff and members.
No thank you, we were imply having a conversation about our parents who are sick or died and the pain. With the medical system in helping them. Basically, it was a banned Covid. I understand that it could be political, but that is part of the trauma that many of us face. I’ll see keep seeing my therapist.
Edit i am trying it again but Rec Room is better
Just a another cash grab app for mental health and it’s not even run by professionals who have been trained in how to give advice. Nobody ever gets better so you just pay each month £30 for useless meetings after meeting. I’d give it no stars if I could. Just a playground for grownups who spend all day every day just hanging around.
I had high hopes for Innerworld, especially given its initial promise of offering free support groups for mental health issues like depression, anxiety, grief and loss, etc. The free tier provided some great opportunities, with various groups focused on therapeutic practices like DBT. This made me optimistic about signing up for the on year subscription, which cost $119 USD.
However, my experience quickly soured when I encountered a simple issue: a spelling mistake in my username. When I reached out to customer support, I was met with outright refusal to assist me. The representative would not clarify which part of my username was misspelled or provide any instructions on how to fix the issue. As a result, I was unable to access the platform I had paid for. Despite multiple attempts to resolve the situation, I was left stranded without support and had no choice but to cancel my subscription.
After revisiting the platform, it’s clear that Innerworld has undergone a drastic shift. The subscription price has skyrocketed to $80 USD per month, which amounts to $960 USD for the year (or $1,386.43 CAD for me as a Canadian), compared to the $119 USD annual fee I paid just over a year ago. The free tier has been severely limited, with only a couple of mental health support groups available—currently, there’s a group for healing from narcissistic relationships and a veterans’ group, but both only meet once a month, making them difficult to access. The remaining free content is comprised of talent shows, drawing groups, and a single addictions group, none of which focus on actual mental health support. Crucial mental health groups like those for anxiety and depression are now hidden behind a steep paywall, making them virtually inaccessible, especially for those who are low-income.
It’s frankly despicable that a platform that once claimed to offer accessible mental health support is now capitalizing on people’s vulnerabilities at such a steep price. In today’s political climate, where mental health issues are more pressing than ever, it’s deeply troubling to see a service that once provided free help turn into a profit-driven model that prioritizes financial gain over actual support. This platform has gone from a potential lifeline to a costly barrier for those who need help the most.
I will not be recommending Innerworld to anyone, and I will be looking for alternatives that genuinely care about people’s mental well-being rather than exploiting it.
Has anyone noticed how expensive this app subscription has become? This app clearly only wants to help people’s mental health who have a lot of money. This is not accessible. It’s extremely depressing to see that absolutely nobody low income or even average income could actually justify afford doing this app, especially when they tell you it needs to be in combination with therapy which anyone that’s in therapy knows how expensive that is to begin with as well. The people that have produced in our world should be absolutely ashamed of themselves.
